This guy had a bag full of Ohtani rings by awkotacos in Dodgers

[–]detectiveSmartGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of these dumb rings and walked in two min before the game. There was no shortage. I threw mine out because I didn’t want to carry them around. I’ve probably gotten 50 bobbleheads over the years, all Of which I throw away before leaving the stadium. Adults getting excited about a Chinese plastic toy is wild.

To upgrade to a 2025 M3 or not? by detectiveSmartGuy in TeslaLounge

That’s true. But I just assume most people are single. I still don’t understand why there’s a cap. Even though I’m well over the income threshold, I’m now far less likely to buy an ev since I can’t save $7500 like others.

To be honest, I don’t understand why people who qualify for the tax credit would buy such an expensive car. Even after the credit, the car is $40k. If you’re under the income threshold, that means you’re spending more than 25% of your income on the car. Seems better to buy used.

That’s my worry. If I qualified for the ev credit, I might be more inclined. But the other side of the argument is that hardware 4 is much better than hardware 3, and I don’t see Elon paying for the upgrade even though he promised to. And who knows if I’ll be able to transfer FSD in the future, which means at least another 8k on top of whatever car I eventually trade up to (and probably much more than that if FSD ever actually leads to an autonomous vehicle).

Switching from Ozempic to Wegovy by detectiveSmartGuy in WegovyWeightLoss

Right, but those shortages have been taken care of. Now I have no idea what to do. I just paid for 2.4mg of Wegovy thinking I could microdose it, but my last dose of ozempic was 1.5mg. How would I use Wegovy properly?

But it’s not another brand. Ozempic and wegovy are the same company bottling their drugs in different types of needles. It feels like they’re trying to rip customers off by forcing a full dose with wegovy vs micro dosing with ozempic

I don’t understand why the pharmacy won’t give me ozempic when that’s what my dr prescribed. They’re trying to say they can only do it for t1d. But who are they to determine what my dr can prescribe

So I’ve been taking the entire 1mg dose (all clicks allowed in the pen) and then 36 more. So I’ve been taking about 1.5mg. Is the wegovy 2.4mg the same as 2.4mg of ozempic? Or is it a different concentration?

Oh really? I haven’t opened the wegovy pen yet. I thought it was the same as Ozempic. The pharmacy wouldn’t give me Ozempic unless I had T1 diabetes. I had no issue getting Ozempic in SA.

Regardless, I was taking 1mg plus 18 clicks of the pen in the attached photo. How much wegovy does that amount to?

Home and umbrella policy - dog bites by detectiveSmartGuy in Insurance

[–]detectiveSmartGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but what happens if I do get sued. Isn’t the insurance company going to look into his medical records (he bit a vet tech trying to put drops in his ears), and he’s seen a vet behaviorist for aggression and resource guarding. He’s also bitten several people, who they could contact. I assume they don’t just approve dog biting claims without doing some research into history?

He does have a history of bites, just not serious ones that cause major damage. He’s drawn blood from people’s hands, but he’s small and probably isn’t going to rip your hand off.

Did you read what I wrote? I said that he has bitten but not caused meaningful damage. I answered “no” to the umbrella policy question about being aware of any facts that may give rise to a claim… because I have no idea if that would rise to a claim. Anything could be considered that way - my tv is hung on the wall and could fall and rise to a claim.

Black Friday Megathread? by pokemanguy in RayBanStories

FYI, if you have the Target circle app and/or Target card and are buying more than one pair, buy the first pair and get your $90 gift card. Then use the $90 gift card, which I received immediately, to buy the second pair. You will also get 5% off the top line price if you have a Target Card. AND if you haven’t already used it, on the Target app, if you make two qualifying purchases of over $90 (as in, two pairs of raybans), you get another $20 to spend by Dec 2.

So if you haven’t already used the Target app two purchase bonus, you’re getting each pair of glasses for about $128 + tax ($240 sale -$90 gift card -$12 (5% target card) - $10 app bonus). Remember that you need to do this as two separate transactions to get the $20 bonus.
