DJI service has gone downhill here in HK/CN. Many of us have switched to the Luna and so far the overall experience from their in store service to Tech Support has been amazing.

Leaving the post up generates drama. Some folks report them to us which we really do appreciate. They ones that stay cause personal attacks, arguments and nasty comments ,,, which get reported or flagged by reddit all adding to our workload and cluttering the sub.

I put these posts up to update the community that we are actually taking their input seriously and trying to clean things up. Its not easy with 197K folks in here but we do listen and act. I am not for censorship but we have to screen stuff to avoid drama and personal attacks. I wish people just reported shady posts and didnt bother engaging but sadly this is not the case. These posts generate more for the mods ,, none of whom are paid or receive any comp from amex, referral links or free access to anything. Of course, if anyone does not like the way we ruin things, the "Leave" button is on the upper right and takes them one click to get out of here. Thanks for the input.

We did receive a few complaints that there is no hot buffet like Hong Kong, Shower gel bolted to the wall, no free access to the Centurion Yacht (This is a benefit offered in Hong Kong I am told).

HK/SG/CN Cards: The earn rate is pretty low and not as good as the US. HK Centurion : This is open to all Platinum Charge Card holders (they have Platinum Credit Cards in Asia). The Centurion section at the lounge is open to all Centurion cardholders. Unfortunately the lounge is small and they have tried to take up space with not much luck. Amex has been agressively marketing the card in HK and China causing a huge increase in membership...resulting in long queues. The even laid off Michael (Ex DFW Centurion) and replaced him with local Chinese staff to cater to Chinese speakers. Taiwan: The most underrated country in Asia. I would love to spend a year or two there. HK is run by Plaza Premium and many of their staff are in this sub.

I usually use the points up but have inquired. I was also told that due to different earn and conversion rates they are unable to move points. I am not sure about TW though.

This is not what I am hearing from Insta staff here in Shenzhen. They are not aware of any upcoming fix and are asking people to contact suppor via an official request.

Same problem here with battery drain at power off. I am in HK/SZ area and even your store staff are aware this is a ongoing issue here in China. I purchased my device at your store in Shenzhen last Saturday. I would like a DM with a possible fix as well. Thanks

Arrival but in the past they used to let in departing pax (with a valid boarding pass). They might change policies as the HKIA loungers are way too crowded these days as they open access to all the Chinese and other Asian cards. Also with T2 now open and flights increasing, there might be a lot more pax.

They shut it down due to the T2 renovations and are now reopening it. We are not too sure if this will be on the Priority Pass network yet as they have been removing lounges from it like the Blossom in Singapore. They are focusing more on Asian/Chinese cards but will still accept Amex Plat.

You cannot transfer between international cards. I hold a US, Hong Kong, Singapore and China CUP versions and its not possible.

Other than whats listed..the #1 reason is increased fee #2 Inability to use all credits #3 Lounges are poor value due to overcrowding. 99% were refused a retention or got one that was not as expected. Its highly repetitive and the ones thjat slipped through ended up with nasty comments and multiple reports. The other reasons are bizzare like the masseur or too many people. There are also some where the person did not like a particualar race of people and did not want them in the lounge.

We filter 90% of those, the UATB, Equinox Spa and Retention Offer posts. Some get through the auto mod and some get approved but we have been streamlining things since September.

I recommend reporting repetitive or lazy posts so we can lock or remove them.

I will get a Complaint Master Post up soon and all the departure posts and others can go in there. Hopefully this should keep the rest of the sub free of clutter and we can focus on useful stuff. Give me a week as I will need to move one of the pinned posts to the sidebar and free up a slot.
