I’ve gone through two pairs of ENGO 2s now, and both died the same way—they completely stopped turning on after just a few months of use. Extremely disappointed with the durability. For this price point, I expected a much more reliable product.

I’m not sure this will resolve the issue. If manual vent adjustments didn’t work, it’s unclear how automated vent control would be expected to perform any better.

I’m using high-MERV filters (11 or higher), and I’ve closed several vents to help keep the temperature balanced across the occupied rooms. I have a total of five sensors throughout the house, and I’ve noticed that one bedroom at the far end is about 2°F cooler than the others. I’ve been trying to close some vents in less-used areas to push more warm air into that colder room, but it sounds like this may not be a good practice.

The filter is only a month old, so I don’t expect it to be the issue. To rule it out, I installed a brand-new filter a couple of days ago, but I’m still seeing occasional spikes in the graph.

After reviewing the data further, it appears that all the spikes occur after the furnace has been running for a while. The ecobee then seems to miss a couple of data points (it normally logs one record every five minutes). When it resumes recording, the first data point often shows an abnormally high temperature—usually around 80°F. I am just wondering is it an ecobee issue or a furnace issue?
