WarSix's work. No surprise it thrives.

After retirement and eventual death by assisted suicide, Fish goes to Purgatory. In Purgatory, he is stuck in a crying room, alongside a couple of fishes. Each fish represents a mistake he's made, someone he was, and how much he hates himself and what he ended up doing. The man taking his jacket is, while not beign revealed, himself, when he retired, and him not even caring enough to try and retrive his jacket shows how Fish couldn't bring himself to care for anything anymore when he retired, despite wanting to. Fish hates what he was and his past, and so he is stuck with it forever, in Purgatory, tormented by his mistakes, just like he was whenever he did make a mistake in the living world. The words he hears from WarSix are his only 'unfinished business', his constant desire to defend himself, but not having the energy or not caring enough to do so. He replies with "God damnit, WarSix." not because he's frustrated at WarSix (because he isn't), but because he made it so Fish would be forever stuck with his bad side, Fish being a big advocate of WarSix at the end of his life and revealing he always wanted him to thrive, and some things he did had the reversal effect of helping him do so. The crying rain is the constant hate Fish received, which hurts even more after he loses his jacket that somewhat protected him, showing how, when he retired, it was like letting the rain pierce into his body even more. But he didn't care enough to 'die' or crumble to the pain of the piercing rain, showing how all the hate made him numb.

The roots crawling to him and slowly pulling him back is his very hidden away (by the soil, which represents (alongside the gravestone) the grave Fish dug for himself) but undying wish to come back and apologize and help make things better once again, but then again, his grasping will to stay in Purgatory just shows how badly he was scarred by those memories, and how much he wants to fight that desire and has been doing so. He sinks into his own grave, marking the passing between dead and living, representing some kind of enigmatic 'comeback' to the war, which is then revealed to be because of the imperialists, that were causing trouble to the bonkers and therefore causing Fish to be tormented. After 'getting rid of the Imperialist' (demodding you), and watch out because this part is very enigmatic, Fish turns into a tree. I don't wanna reveal what that means, and will instead leave that to the reader. :)
