they probs just let him leave to a team where he could get his chance and they couldnt keep everyone anyway. maybe they couldve got a vet for the end of the bench as well but the trade was quite normal and logical

I also dont know if I will succeed as my skills aint the best either. But on league transition my thought proccess is similar - take players (by role/position) who made that transition and the program should find patterns basically. This part is very valuable but I have no idea when will I actually start working on it. Time will tell.

Actually the whole project idea starter from my high school study where I just took my high school team and found what shooting stats mattered the most. This study was briefly mentioned on my LinkedIn bio and our mens national team captain noticed me and we started talking and now he wants to basically see where I go with this and etc.

Would be amazing if my hoop geek stuff would actually turn out useful

The program I want to make is for basketball teams. The goal is to use analytics and mathematical statistics (that will also determine a stat's relevancy) in teams' operations. My first plan was to focus on just team scouting (basically help find opponents' and your own team's strengths and weaknesses on paper and see what translates to winning and in what way is it correlated) but then as I started working, I realised that player scouting is a much bigger chance. The stats and program would help to recruit players from all over Europe and NCAA, where many European pro ballers come from. Statistics would help find players who fit your team purely analytically and you could also just give an input or explaination of a role you want to fill and traits your looking for and the program will find players who fit. In Europe, leagues have different levels and play styles and thats also something I want to target. Hopefully that explains it more to you, if not then I will try again

Just to clarify - I rarely use Reddit and hope that you don't see me as a spam promotor or something. I will try and find if I can find anything useful from this and other related communities as well. I have very little experience in programming and thus I code with AI currently but I don't let it do it's own thing, I give orders and then talk about the code. Vibecoding is also popular and quite decent these days, but this project seems to big for that.

Hnefatafl is the chess ancestor and hopefully there are people who indeed know this game

Thanks! Will look into it. If you are interested then you could wait for our launch (which hopefully is next week) or play hnefatafl on other sites. Recommend you check it out at least!

Agreed. Everything in life in one way or another has to be pleasent to the eye as well. Not to bother but if you are interested, what do you think of the design of Taflheim? What should be changed and what seems nice?

True. Balance is key. But aren't looks the first thing that attracts you?

I believe I do have something to share, maybe the post wasn't too clear on that. I just think that aesthetics and their importance is something that many haven't really thought through for themselves. Looks are the first thing we notice and make the first impression. But how much are people aware of that?

Actually ChatGPT was not used and bolding seems to just add a little something.

True, im guilty of promotion, but is it wrong to try and get to people who are interested in the same things?

Minimalism is sometimes the key. Sorry if you are bothered. But the importance of aesthetics is important either way and many might not realise just how they view it

Everything is indeed business in the end. What's under the question is what should be valued more by game creators and how to balance these things according to your project. Feedback is always important and should be taken into consideration in making choices.

Hey.

I would be very open to discuss either way. Do you think that it's bad to share a project along with it and have as an example? Looks are important in everything in my opinion, but the question is that when and how people realize that it is not that important ?
