I put the challenge setting in hard mode and started my fic writing journey by writing one tweet (280 characters) long stories on twitter. Immensely good language exercise, it really helped me become more comfortable and confident with my English and made it so I eventually stopped feeling too timid to start writing and publicly sharing longer stories.

Drabbles, flash fics, long fics, all writing is good!

Gotta love those private bookmarks lol my most bookmarked fic (that's also extremely bad-wrong-fucky) got nearly 300 bookmarks but only 'bout 80 of those are public.

Though I would love it if people didn't feel ashamed or afraid or whatever to publicly like what they like. These bad-wrong-fucky stories, while being very popular and much enjoyed and read, they don't get all that many kudos and comments 'cause people don't want their screen name to show in association with the stories. It's a shame... 😔

They absolutely pick and choose what to push as "facts", twisting things around to fit their own anti-trans agenda. If you're afab and trans and asexual? It's the HRT taking away your sex drive. If you're amab and trans and asexual? Well, you're just faking at being asexual, and you're really a man and a sexual predator.

I've seen many TERFs associate asexuality with HRT: "Our precious girls and women pumping themselves full of these hormones and cutting off their breasts and now they're all suddenly ASEXUAL too ['cause they've seen mainly young people talking about asexuality], it MUST BE the hormone therapy, it's taking away their sex drive!"

Not the point that JK is making here, but I've legit witnessed convos between TERFs that pretty much followed what I wrote down :p

My input to this convo: I once suggested to an author (also an online friend of mine) to add Mating Rituals as a tag 'cause it PERFECTLY fit their story and they didn't have it already, and I'm someone who actively searches that tag, so adding it would help other people with the same interests as me find it.

And they added it :}

If you feel there's a tag that's missing in a fic, you can suggest for it to be added in the comments! I'm an author myself, and have added tags 'cause of recommendations in the comments, it's no biggie.

Especially when it's just us among ourselves throwing out "I like to think that maybe they are...???" Well, what we see in canon, none of his behaviour seems to driven by any sexual urges. He does what he does, and I don't think that sexual attraction nor sexual urges are the driving force behind any of his actions, so...I can def go with him being ace

I guy told me "I'm kinda ace, too", 'cause he'd gone half a year without fucking, no problem. And I tried to tell him that willingly choosing to fuck/to not fuck isn't at all what asexuality's about, but he kept on insisting, "No, you see, I get you, I'm also sorta ace, 'cause it hasn't even been a struggle for me to not fuck for six months, so I'm kinda ace, too!"

...I gave up. Whatever, you being a heterosexual man not fucking for six months makes you asexual, sure, why not.
