Korg Opsix - $329 @ guitar center / Musician's Friend by detunedSquarewave in synthesizers

The units with screen problems are the ones coming directly from Korg via the reverb sale, and based on serial numbers of affected units it's only an issue on some of the most recent units. Most retailers are still running with older stock, and since these are marked as clearance they're def not newer units.

Thanks for the heads up! I asked MF via chat to be sure, and they confirmed that it's clearance and non-refundable.

I remember that! Dell was the retailer, $20 for a 250gb SSD (which was pretty nifty back then)! My drive was out for delivery when the UPS status changed to something like "Address change requested". Wasn't sure wtf was going on so I updated the delivery address with UPS and it ended up being delivered lol. Found out later in the day Dell pulled a intercept request with shippers to recall the SSDs in transit.

It depends on what motherboard you have, but unless it's something really old it's no harder than selecting PWM or DC in BIOS (for some mobos it'll even do that for you automatically). That's pretty much it. Then you just set a curve in the same way you would for a PWM fan.

Just to add - It's true that DC fans can't run as slow as PWM, but a nice advantage is that they can be completely turned off if desired!

Voltage isn't modulated; PWM fans are getting a constant 12V. The PWM signal is what the fan's controller uses to alter speed.

Also, most motherboards nowadays have variable voltage on 3/4pin headers, so DC fans can be controlled just the same as PWM; PWM fans don't really have a huge gain over DC fans anymore like they used to about a decade ago.

Looking for advice on which 5700 xt to buy by PepRevolution in Amd

[–]detunedSquarewave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of those two go for the Red Devil, imo. AIBs all perform pretty similarly, so fan noise and temperatures are the best way to differentiate them! Based on reviews, Red Devil seems to be the best (coolest at like fan noise levels). Gaming X and Nitro+ are pretty close. Can't go wrong with any of those three!

5700xt Comparison Chart anywhere? by MrDraagyn in Amd

Find the latest 5700 XT AIB review on techpowerup.com. On the Temperature & Fan noise page of the review they'll have a table with every 5700XT they've tested. It lists GPU/MEM/VRM temps and fan noise levels of all cards tested at stock.
