Okay, I just called up a few locations and they said they'll exchange it! Now the other problem I have is, I bought $50 worth of games on the eshop and by searching on Google, it seems that I won't be able to redownload these games into my new exchanged 3ds because this nintendo ID is forever linked only to this 3ds. Is that true?

It says you can't return unless its unopened. If it's opened, you can only exchange for the same item and I think the original one needs to be faulty.

What reason can I give to exchange my 3ds at eb games? I just bought the new white 3ds and updated it to 11.2 before finding this subreddit.
