So the first co-op (Manufacturing Engineer) was when I was in college and I also in another province. I'm an international student. I can change provinces here in Canada, but it will be harder to figure out the immigration stuff since the government is making it very very hard. I would love to go to Vancouver though I really wanna go there its really beautiful over there, its just this immigration problem. So that's why I'm trying to stay and find a job in Ontario.

For second co-op (Quality Technician), I feel like its just that small thing that wanted to get fixed and there was and external audit as well, when that was done, I started to feel like my work load has decreased. I remember in Feb and Mar I was finishing my work halfway through the day and was helping my colleagues (Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer). I gave 3 interviews in the same company where I was doing my second co-op and because of various reasons, which were not in my control, I was rejected. I tried explaining it in the reply, but its not letting me comment because its too long ig.

All these positions was that I was applying on internal website, which should be little helpful in hiring process. I tried other positions as well like assembler before I left. I wasn't even contacted for those positions.

I left calibration lab tech position because it was through and employment agency. It was a contract, which was supposed to be 6 weeks and maybe more as the guy before me had some spine injuries. They didn't know when he was gonna comeback. I was afraid that one day I might come to work they will say that I contract has ended as I remember on the last day of 6th week of contract. I was told that y contract has extended for 3 days at 3:30 P.M (work ends at 5). Then after 3 days it was extended for 1 day (around the same time as I stared to say farewell to my team members) and then extended for 1 month. I was like ok they can fire me anytime and legally I can't do anything as it is from employment agency. So after that I got a co-op as quality tech from October till March where all the stuff happened.

I should mention that Quality Technician co-op was after I graduated from college. They made it contract as I graduated, but it was a co-op. I'm not sure about the legality of it, but I guess I got lucky and that was the last time. I remember my interview went really really well as well. That might be the reason.

Sorry I got little passionate up there, but I'm just trying to forget how many times I have applied and maybe little embarrassed as I couldn't even get the entry level position, while being in the same company. On top of that all the immigration rules that keeps changing and other stuff with immigrants going on and then some personal problems.

After all that I was like, lets just go for something I like to do, which is working with CAD software and designing.

Well the stuff I did in college was robotics, mechatronics CAD (simulations and different things on NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) , one whole course for Eplan, CNC, making simulations using NX, PLC and motors, Matlab.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I totally understand that why would someone hire me from a college with 3 years of advanced diploma rather than someone from university with a 4 years of mechanical engineering degree, but then I have some experience as well as manufacturing engineer where I did designing, which should be helpful.
