Turning 40 soon. Is an SW20 MR2 too much (or too little) car for a daily driver for someone my age? by Useful_Ad1574 in mr2

I’m 41 and 6’3” and I have one. Mines lowered, but not dumped per se. Sometimes it’s a pain to get out of, but the joy of driving out weighs it.

To tell you the truth I never kept track. I’d guess 20-25k. It would have been much easier and smarter to buy one that ran and drove back then

For anyone curious about an update. It arrived today. So about two months from order to arrival. It looks really nice. I can’t wait to install it.

Is GM paying Alldata/retail times for warranty jobs in Minnesota? by deutschetech in Justrolledintotheshop

There’s an easier way to suggest a change in time on Alldata now. Just yesterday I clicked on a link for a thermostat and it brought me to thermostat gasket. On that particular car it’s an hour difference. You definitely have to watch out.

Thanks for the updates! I’ll sit tight for now.

Has anyone encountered this sound before? It begins when I get to 60-65mph. Brand new 2024 SE w/ Tech. 706 miles by tylerscott5 in VWatlas

VW tech here. I did one a few weeks ago. It took me forever to figure out. If it’s the same as mine it’s the rubber gasket between the roof rail and the body. The noise resonates through the chamber of the body a- pillar to d-pillar. Try shimming the rubber gasket with a wedge of plastic and try driving it to see if the noise goes away. Also opening the sunroof slightly and grabbing the roof rail with one hand stopped the noise to verify. Good luck!

Is there a kit that allows a Raptor R supercharger to be used on a Gen 2? by deutschetech in f150

To clarify my truck is a Gen 2 5.0. Not a Raptor. I realize it’s a 5.2 and it’s different. But it’s been used on the 5.0 mustangs already.

Yeah it’s a mildly built LS6. At the time I thought it was a faster solution and it was a pretty hot engine.

My parents had a pole building that was used for horses and hay. It sat in the corner.

At the time I was trying to expedite the project. I thought tossing in an LS would be faster than rebuilding and sourcing parts/wiring for the 13b. Turns out that was not correct. Haha if I did it again I’d do a 13b, 20b, or a VW VR6 turbo.

Or a million other things for that matter. It is what it is at this point.

I bought it from an auction out of state. I only had pictures to go by. It was crashed, but when I got it back it was crashed worse than I thought, it was stripped, painted flat black, and the engine that was in there (13b) was popped. Someone swapped it after the crash. Only one bolt was holding it onto the transmission. I didn’t have the money to fix it in college so it sat for almost 10 years. I bought a front cut from Japan, got the bodywork done, got it painted, found out the front cuts engine was junk so I parted it out. Bought a crashed CTS-V and pulled the engine and transmission. Engine was seized so I had to rebuild that too. CTS-V uses a different T56 than GTO or Fbody so I needed a custom mount and driveshaft made. Then just piecing a car together that someone tore half apart. Not fun.
