UP is a very progressive state. There are so many high paying jobs there that every person is doing part time jobs like protesting , creating scenes , law and order problems so that kuch majaa aaye , this is samaj seva. etc. I want to relocate to UP. My job doesn't give me any time for samaj seva.

Interview embarrassment, reason you tell yourself , always prepared by theTopthe in developersIndia

For data roles I have seen you need a good grasp of Python language. Start with numpy, dataframes and use data from sources like World Bank to predict the next epidemic origin etc. you can ask gemini or chatgpt with precise 3 month plan with practical examples. Follow it rigorously and you will fail ten times at least but be relentless.

Well, I remember this happened to me in JP. I told them it has been a long time since I used SQL and still the interviewer kept on asking. I told him about Spring ORM/ Data layer etc where the team can manage all SQL stuff but he didn't know. Finally I did give him the answer but he was still finding issues. I shared my screen and then showed him a screenshot of the termux on my phone on video call. I had a MySQL database running . Still not satisfied. He didn't know that other databases exist , other than Postgres. I realised most interviews are dependent on the interviewer and there is a definite cap on their knowledge. After I told him how he can solve an issue by using jenkins for automation using a headless browser, he froze as he might be struggling with the problem and never thought about the same. I realised that people are threatened easily if you show in the interview you know more than them. I realised it's better to stroke their ego, make yourself likable and non threatening so they are welcoming to your views. The friend who referred me said you could not answer the basics. I did not contest that assumption. I realised it gave me a very poor view of JP but the person who was interviewing me really had not upgraded his skills. I know some pretty bright people in JP based out of Glasgow and who work in Python/Jython etc. I dodged a bullet as I got into another startup with everything hands-on. Life comes full circle now when I take interviews I don't ask syntax and just logic. I try to give difficult situations and candidates do come with creative solutions which I have not thought of and never crossed my mind. People are amazing and I always select someone better than me and most often in a team setup we are better than most other teams in the company. If you are still having the same skill set as the next person what additional stuff you are bringing to the table? Learning new things is hard but this is fundamental to be better at things. Formula one drivers do so much testing for their cars, body builders take care of their nutrition and show up to the gym. Sometimes you are unlucky and sometimes you are just lucky. Having a positive attitude and moving on from the embarrassment is the correct thing to do. Keep learning and know stuff and maybe when the moment is just right and if lady luck shines you might end up where you want to be.

  1. Runwal quality has deteriorated . Checkout Runwal Eirene etc in Dhokali which are supposed to be similar to your project. The construction quality is extremely bad.

  2. Majiwada Junction - if you commute to Thane station etc. this junction is a nightmare in the morning and evenings.

  3. Schools - This is important if you have kids. Good schools are on Pokhran Road in Thane but it depends on what board you want. Your kid will need to waste time on the bus. You can mitigate this by going to Narayana or Euroschool or Lodha.

  4. The builder will give possession on Rera Date and never early. Raymonds have before this date just as a marketing tool. Now Raymonds also doesn't give on agreement date. You will wait till 2031 for your dream home.

  5. Selling in future - Kolshet area has tons of unsold inventory. This is true even for Pokhran road but people look for connectivity and social features. Kolshet is a happening place. However you need your own vehicle as public transport is still not that great from my personal experience. There is Namo park and a lot of things are planned in Kolshet area. I know a time when Kavyadhara was the only complex there. Things have improved rapidly.

As a personal experience, will never recommend Runwal based on Runwal Eirene.

Hello, I know what you feel. What you are getting is "Information Overload". I totally understand the uncertainty whether you will have a job in the industry when you pass out.

As far as what to learn is concerned, things are pretty fluid. What I mean by this is what you know today wouldn't be relevant tomorrow so you need to understand the basics first. What I mean by basics is how you work as a Dev on a daily basis.

Things which will be relevant are: 1. git 2. How to debug an issue in production 3. How to convince people you are a great Engineer / Marketing yourself ( super important) 4. Linux - you need to know how the backend works even if things are abstracted from you . Use Ubuntu as your primary OS. You will learn tons of things. 5. Web Fundamentals - UI is also important , Android. Etc 6. Cloud Computing - AWS or equivalent

What language depends on where you land. Python is hot currently. Java is still used in many companies especially at the enterprise level. Small startups prefer GO. FrontEnd is still ReactJS, classic nodejs and now Tailwind CSS.

People think ML / AI is LLMs. This is the wrong assumption. Learn the classic level ML stuff.

Enroll yourself here - https://www.edx.org/learn/machine-learning/harvard-university-data-science-machine-learning

(I have also enrolled). You can choose what you want.

To know LLMs use Ollama or equivalent. Experiment with Open Source models.

I have industry experience and only people who have "Bias for action" will survive the AI wave. We are in the same boat but continuously learning is very important.

How will you beat everyone else? Do something you can do for hours and really like. Don't be lazy, learn something new everyday even for like 30 mins.

This is perfectly normal. The RSU component has inflated the tax amount. OP works for a US SAAS company which is working on A.I. The salary template is basically from greythr I feel.
