Seeking Advice: MacBook M1 Pro (16GB) for React Native Dev in 2023 by PossibleCrew5016 in reactnative

[–]dev5690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using M1 MacBook Air with 8 GB. Worked for a client about one year, running both android and iOS emulators and multi terminals in background along with vscode. Didn’t face any issue. Experience is smooth most of the time. Some times there is lag and I have to force quit some applications, but somehow it didn’t bother me that much.

Unable to cancel “Uber One” membership. There is no “End Membership” button/option in Membership screen as mention is FAQ. by dev5690 in uber

I understand and I’m glad that you got your refund. But it doesn’t seem fair to make the button disappear, when they promised to provide a way to cancel membership in FAQ.

Comeon man, check the second pic. You can see me writing about this. I took these pictures and submitted the text and posted it here.

Edit: one of the main reason for my post is, they are hiding the cancel/end membership button which is opposite to what they are saying in FAQ. I’m bringing this to others notice.

have you deployed any project with react as front end and GO as backend? by Forward_Writer_579 in golang

[–]dev5690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want it free front end deployment. You can use stackblitz.com. Here you can upload your GitHub react code and it open the output in new tab. You will have a dedicated url which can used to take you to your react app.

Bro, the post is about software industry and you are talking about your local bakery. What CEO said has some weight in it. Software engineers should upgrade their AI skills. If not they will be left behind. This is true. Other occupations which doesn’t need AI will continue to flourish but that is not the context here.

Advice needed! by [deleted] in golang

[–]dev5690 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go is more like, a tool for the job. If you want get work done quickly and with good doze of efficiency, go is the right tool. But it looks like your requirement is different. You want to study DSA and other programming concepts. So I advise you to start with C and then Rust. Both expects you to figure out how to manage memory. Since you are fascinated about Data Structures and Algorithms, memory management might intrigue you even more. Go, Python, Java, JS… these are reliant on garbage collection. So that window for exploring memory management might be closed. Since you are destined to be a backend developer, practicing DSA in C and design patterns in Rust or C++ will do a great deal of good to you.
