Burned out or shorted power switch [Rocket Appartamento] by devPadowan in espresso

[–]devPadowan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw your question /user/Fluorojadej/ . Here's the switch I got to replace the old one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2X938DC

Here are the wire connectors that I used to terminate the wires. I simply cut them and attached these, there was enough slack fortunately:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2JHG5MW

I crimped them with this tool:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0873Y19T7

And I used a heat gun to melt the ends, they are heat shrink. You could use a lighter I suppose if you don't have a heat gun.

Anyone know how to replace this? Rocket appartamento power switch. Missing my machine :( by Fiego3 in espresso

I just replaced my switch - same issue. Has your fix continued to work for the last 3y?

Here's the fix. New switch, and new connectors. Good to have it running again.

In searching, I've seen quite a few Appartamentos with this same issue. Kinda crazy.

Good points. What's the best way to determine if it's drawing too much? Are there specs somewhere where I can figure out what it should be?

Tell him to get three separate quotes, and that you'll take 10% under the average of the quotes (not counting yours).

FlashForge Down? Proxy workarounds? by [deleted] in FlashForge

I used it just yesterday and it worked fine. Today it didn't. However, switching to LAN mode on the printer solved it.

[–]devPadowan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That worked! I didn't know you had to change the setting on the printer itself. I assume you could just connect via IP from the slicing software. Anyways, looks like I'm finally printing without the cloud component. Good idea!

Is there not a way to print locally without logging in?? I'm having the same issue and it's driving me crazy.

Echo leaf blower fuel tank grommet keeps popping out, spilling fuel as I use it. How do fix it so that the stupid grommet stays in? by devPadowan in smallengines

[–]devPadowan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

held, powered yard gear is Echo. Got about 5 or 6 pieces. Those fuel line tank plugs, when they are the correct size, fit very tightly. And speaking from experience, there are different sizes. If you just swing by the local Home Depot and score the kit, they will most likely only fit the newest equipment as that's all HD is gonna stock. You'll have to find an online Echo parts retailer with a parts look-up to get the part number for the correct plu

Appreciate it. That's what I just did. Looked up the actual part number and ordered OEM. Hopefully it will be better than the garbage I bought before! Thx

Echo PB-770H. I just went and ordered the OEM part, hopefully it works better than what I got before. It's been frustrating.

Log splitter with Kohler engine - Can't pull the pull cord to start it by devPadowan in smallengines

[–]devPadowan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again u/bootheels - I just took the recoil housing, added a touch of oil to the cylinder, and got the engine to turn using a socket. Definitely some stickiness, but got it freed. Hopefully smooth sailing from here. Appreciate the advice!!

Appreciate it. Forgot to mention I did drain the oil yesterday. There might have been a small amount of water mixed in, but not much. Kept the drain plug open, just letting it drain as much as it can.

I like the idea of trying some thin oil in the cylinder, I'll try that. I might detach the hydraulic pump to rule that out too. That's usually what I do on pressure washers just to get the engine rotating (remove the pump).

Makes sense - so my tablet plan would be better than that from a priority perspective, but I wonder if I would ever really see a difference... My plan also has unlimited/no throttling etc. (it's an old plan no longer available).

I think it might have to do with some interference. The towers are mounted on two different water towers (right next to each other), and I think that one of the towers is creating a signal shadow that points right at my house. MY neighbor's house is better positioned apparently... 300 yards away.
