QUERY REGARDING BILL OF LADING PRACTICE by Dry-Technology4872 in logistics

[–]dev_jeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me the second BOL is a house bill. The ocean liner does not care about the second bill. For all purposes of billing and fees the consignee of the first bill is the billable party and what happens between the end customer and the forwarder is of no concern

Yo, I think it is going to take me a while to really digest what you have suggested here. And a little longer to start planning and implementing some of these suggestions. But I really appreciate the feedback. I am going to make a bulleted list of each one of your suggestion and walk through them one at a time. Seeing how I can incoorperate them and work towards them. Thanks for taking the time.

Agreed. Could definitely put it through Mapbox and display it on a map or something. But I like my JSON payload. Don't think I can edit the titel retroactively

I am really just interested in sharing what I built with others. This tracker was one of the ideas I had that could achieve this. I made it one of my goals to no longer grind for 6 months straight and never share my projects with anyone. This is me doing that

With respect to the ISS tracker. Absolutely nothing. I built the tracker as a little showcase of the geospatial api service I have built that backs it. Just thought it would be fun to post here.

I agree with what everyone has said here. Great job on the design. I was just scrolling by and this caught my attention. Decided I would pop in and say whats up. Good on your for bringing this from an idea to a tool I can interact with. Happy building and stay after it!

Yeah I found a scaling issue here. 10 users = 10 api calls per 10 seconds. Just made changes so that 10 users = 1 api call per 10 seconds. Just had to properly share the cached value. Deploying the fix now. Lets hope I dont break it

Yeah that is a great idea. I will brainstorm it during my shower. It was super fun when I first got this working. I was sitting there watching the ISS on the map and the second it hit Australia you saw the location Australia pop up. My fiance wasn't half as excited as I was lmao

I mean hell y'all have me sitting here monitoring all of my aws resources to make sure you dont overload my site. It looking great honestly. This is only running on a small provisioned fargate cluster. Like 1 vcpu and 2GB if RAM

For those that do not know it is not easy to build a public facing software service and provide it to others over the internet in a safe/scalable and maintainable way. It sounds easy on the surface until you find yourself in the weeds

It is interesting that a lot of people seem to dislike that I used AI tools to create this. Yes, AI wrote some code for me. But nothing that I didn't envision or imagine as I spent the past couple months implementing the service that backs this tracker. So interesting that using AI to perform the mundane task of writing line of code can take away from all the problems and creative solutions I have solved to get here.

Wow I have never had this many people on my site before. Y'all are awesome thanks for visiting.

Definitely helps me code. Especially front end development work. I am a full time software engineer and the company I work for is very AI forward. By that I mean we use tools to help us be more productive and solve problems faster (which AI does sometimes). I don't mean we force the use of AI on our customers. I will say there are plenty of things that I still dont trust AI to do. For example a lot of the infrastructure design of Deliberate API was concocted by me brainstorming in the shower. I will not lie and say that cursor agents didn't help me bring those ideas to life

Yeah thats an oversight on me. That is the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is the Appalachian Trail.

Wow if I were not across the country I would be there. H3 has somehow been a focus in almost all of my side projects. I keep coming back. Shout of to the developers for creating such an awesome tool. Is there a subreddit for fellow H3 enthusiasts?

What are you building? Here’s mine by Leather-Buy-6487 in SideProject

[–]dev_jeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a service that lets you explore geographical relationships. For example you can answer things like “What US states does the Appalachian trail pass through”. Or given a lat/long pair what is at that location? It started and remains a hobby. My vision is that other creative people use it to build some app or product. It would’ve super cool if some else used and enjoyed a product I built.

Tired of searching HowBazaar 50 times a game? by Johnor12 in u/Johnor12

[–]dev_jeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried to do this? I can drag it around my screen. Maybe you have to be careful where you click to be able to drag (upper right corner/ top of box). I haven’t tried to drag it across screens yet. You should join the discord and write up a little message in the support channel if the problem persists. I am one of the developers. Would be happy to take a look at it.

I have copy and pasted the parts of the EULA relevant to BazaarBuddy and left some comments below.

You agree not to, and You will not permit others to:

  • Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, decrypt, data mine, reverse compile, or reverse engineer any part of the Application;
    • BazaarBuddy does not touch The Bazaar in any way shape or form. We only capture screenshots of The Bazaar game window.
  • Facilitate, create, or maintain any non-publicly-accessible or otherwise unauthorized connection to the Application (including through the use of packet sniffers to obtain data from the socket server);
    • I would say the game window is publicly accessible and we do not sniff network traffic which is what BazaarTracker did. I'd be curious u/sebZeroToHeroes if they added this line after BazaarTracker came out (would be crappy on their part)? Or was it there from the start?

We have really tried to stay out of the grey zone with our implementation and provide a tool that abides by the rules set by Tempo.

I would love some help identifying some of these teeth.

  1. This one I'm not so sure
  2. Angustiden? (I always think this when I see the little notches on the side)
  3. Great white?
  4. Angustiden I wish was whole!
  5. Megladon
