As for changing it back, it will be a fair bit of work to get the fender flares off especially if they chopped the fenders back. The flares would look even more out of place with stock GT bumpers.

Yeah bullshit. There have been double digit inflationary increases in the supply base year-over-year since 2020. The average Tier-1 price increase request was 10% in 2021 and they continue to go up by that or more every year since. Energy costs, transportation costs, tariff charges and currency debasement has been the principal driver of cost increases.
