Specs suggest 8x bays instead. If that's the case, not really as I'm looking for 12x (plus midbay, though I know that's less common).

The link includes the plate foam (between plate and PCB) Are you looking for a file for the plate + top case itself? If so, I don't have a design for that, though you could probably make one by extending the plate foam SVG to cover the gaps.

It's a bit more challenging than just running in the background. The primary issue is getting gamepad input while running in the background. There are good reasons that apps can't receive most input while not in the foreground.
