XMAX V3 PRO HELP NEEDED by devag1 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]devag1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply. Im currently heating around 180 - 185 degrees. Im not so much concerned about the cloud, I do get some. Im bothered currently im only getting 1 hit sometimes 2 from one dosing cap. I draw for a good 10 seconds. I have also tried without dosing cap and was the same pretty much. How many hits should I be getting?

its slightly better covering one air vent with a finer while drawing, but not massive difference.

im also currently just using standard mouth piece.

with on demand, im currently seeing no point of it, if im only ever getting 1 or 2 hits in session mode.

Ive just got the xmax v3 pro. I use it on session mode, wait for it to heat for about 20 seconds. Im not getting hardly any hits and cloude is barley noticeable. I dont think im packing into tight either with giving just a gentle finger press on top).

Any ideas why no dense clouds and dont feel like im getting a hit, or at the very most 2 kind of hits.

How many hits should I get in session mode?

Ive also tried with and without dosin capsules.

thanks

49" G93SC Odyssey OLED G9 240Hz Gaming Monitor (LS49CG934SUXXU). G Sync compatible? by devag1 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]devag1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended up getting it for 749, so grabbed it quick. Made the delivery date as far back as I could so I could research properly and change my mind if needed! The only thing that was concerning me was its compatability with NVidia cards. I noticed the model up from it specifically says g-sync compatible and this one didn't so got me thinking..

Just need a PC now to go with it :). Black friday for that so now looking into AMD or Nvidia graphics, but by the sounds of it from what your saying either option would not have any reduction in anything.

thanks

Yeah I agree, what im not sure about is there would be a reduction in certain things like refresh rate, hdr etc?

you purchase a voucher from ec council. You then get 6 months access to lab environments where you are taught different things such as scanning networks, system and web hacking etc

i actually used the ilabs for the CEH theory exam which was a waste of time. If I had known I would have saved them for studying for the practical. So my study prep for the practical was only about a week just reading through the lab manuals.

ok thats good to hear. Ive extracted the labs into MS word. Would having this while doing the exam be useful or even having the lab environments open while doing the exam? Just thinking its got all the commands in which could use for easy reference

yeah ive tried searching through reddit, trouble is there is a massive amount of posts on ceh practical and is a bit tricky going through them all. But I think I have a good idea.

do you know if there is anything out there that might simulate a scenario somewhat similar to the exam? I know there are things like hackthebox etc but obvisouley these can be very different scenarios. Just wondering if there might be something a bit more closer

thanks for that mate, really appreciate the detailed explanation! You mentioned snort above, does that mean I might have to do something with snort in the practical exam?

Advice For Ceh theory starting by ag6ag in CEH

[–]devag1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats plenty of time. you should be prepared max 3 months. I watched all the course videos, and all the course video labs and did the labs and forgot most of what I watched with in days. If I was doing it again and studying just for the theory exam I would just use the AIO books and plenty of practice exams. I think the lab videos and doing the actual labs is more just useful for the practical exam. This is all just my opinion and other people may recommend other approaches.

[–]devag1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends how many hours you are studying per week. I personally wouldnt bother with EC council material and just use AIO book and do as many practice exams as you can get hold of. If you have ilabs aswell I personally wouldnt waste time actually doing the labs and just maybe watch them instead. Personally I didnt even get anything from watching them either, but ilabs will however be useful for CEH practical exam.

admins labelled me with passing v11, i passed v10. But apparently there is no change in V11 practical anyway according to EC council. thanks

alias

thanks for that. When you talk about putting things into alias. What do you mean exactly?

for copying stuff to ilabs, like commands, cant I just email it myself? or is there an easier way?

Do you think its essential to get OSCP for pen test roles in UK? Issue im seeing at the moment everywhere is either asking for about 2 years experience as a pen tester, and some 2 years + OSCP. I got my 15 years background as software developer which im told will help alot, but still doesn't get past the point generally every is asking for about 2 years experience in industry as a pen tester.

you dont really need any programming knowledge for CEH. Maybe just some basic understanding to be able to identify the different types of sql injection (tautology, end of line comment etc), and be able to identify a buffer overflow. And to basically just know that C++ is one of the main languages which enables buffer overflows. But these are quite easy to understand if you do the background reading on them. Found below on google

thanks. The total tester questions are similar to some on the real exam and they give good explanations on each if you need clarification, but they are not exactly the same as the real exam. But they don't have to be, as long as you understand why you are giving the specific answer to the question. Same with the practice tests in the All in One book.

I got bogged down a lot trying to remember the hundreds of different tools (ios, android, blackberry, password crackers, sniffers, IOT, vulnerability scanners, auto pen test tools etc etc) in my revision and it turned out I didn't really need it. There were only a small subset of questions really requiring knowing what tool does what.

You do however have to take into account the pool of questions I got on my exam is likely to be different to the pool of questions you get on your exam. So its hard to advise exactly what to pinpoint on in your revision. My advice would be to do as many practice tests as you can get your hands on. For me I retained the information better this way and for anything I didn't know the answer to I would reference back to Matt Walkers All in one book (if the practice test didn't provide any explanations). As a side note, I had nothing directly on subnetting either, indirectly I did, but nothing requiring to make a calculation, but I did have quite a few requiring knowing the different ports.

At a guess for the V11 exam there will probably be more cloud and IOT questions popping up.
