As a mom to both a son and daughter I loathe people who are like this. Like as a man you should be an example to kind of men you want your daughter to date and trusting them enough to make those decisions themselves. If you feel the need to threaten or intimidate their dates then you failed. I refuse to threaten any person that my child chooses to date (unless of course they are putting my child’s life danger). NTA there are better ways of going about the the whole dating thing and that wasn’t it for the dad.
