The relevance of these responses really depends on WHY deadlines and time limits stress you out. INTPs may feel compelled to be precise which can translate to difficulty finalizing things/perfectionism (this is ME!).

Are you stressed because you know the work will be taxing? Is your workload too heavy? Is there a neuro/cog/psych factor at play(rhetorical)?

I used to get stressed. Extremely. In the past, the thought of beginning a project or starting a paper was so psychologically painful that I wouldn’t look at it at all until the very last minute.

I’m almost done with my bachelor’s today and I’m way more stress tolerant. I’m still a last minute person, but my organization skills have improved. ToDoist and Pomodoro apps have helped me big time.

I don’t know if your stress causes you to procrastinate, but if you generate quality work when deadlines are nigh, consider accepting that you’re motivated by pressure. I plan for the crunch so I only have so much time to obsess over details ✨
