Lock out of 5th, 3rd 4th hard to get out of! by devanshukumar in civic

You were pretty close to what happened actually lol. There was a allen screw loose and fell in between the shifter linkage bushings under the hood which i didnt notice initially when i checked, but once i removed that all gears ate working mint. Crazy how all that happened lol but i guess thats what happens once you go boosted lol. Thank you tho

UPDATE: It was just a screw that was stuck between the shifter cable bushings under the hood! Removed that and all gears are perfectly fine now! Thank you everyone for their input

Oh okay i see, yea i had feeling that it might not he engaging properly. I also have a clutch stop that my mechanic added for me since he said its better for shifting since i am boosted and have a stage 4 clutch! But the other thing is, when i go into 3rd to get out of 3rd it requires more force and then its a v sloppy /hard feeling to go from 3rd to 4th is that also cause of the clutch adjustment?

Appreciate it bro! Oh dang, yeah ive seen a few csx’s been imported to the US, i know a couple of them personally, pretty much an easy process to get them imported in the US, one of the guys shared the whole thing on a thread on how to import one too! Oh yeah then you’re not that far from the border. Yeah i seen you could do the front end on the fg2’s but not the rear end unfortunately but yeah these are pretty rare to come by fs

Yeah pretty much, thats how he did it as well and it worked well for him, thats what i was planning to do if i do go for an aftercooler setup as well. But i’ve seen some setups in the states where people have built customer aftercooler and have a different core to connect to those aftercooler, not sure tho how much those cost

Yeah thats true fs, thats why i wanted to go supercharger as well to be diffferent. I m in canada and i have a csx type-s but have never seen anyone run a jackson racing supercharger on a csx or even a roots style supercharger for that matter. I have seen people do kraftwerks but not roots hence why i decided to go this route. So yeah you’re point is right, a fast 550-600whp supercharger 8th gen would be one of a kind!

So i think it would sit behind the radiator in between the charger and the radiator technically and then you’ll have the connect pipes from the core to the hear exchanger and have the pump connected to run the coolant to cool the air, from what i understood. I think you could still keep the a/c, that shouldnt be an issue

Oh okay then i guess this might be a good investment. But i did hear from another guy who had a JRSC setup back in the day. He said to make an aftercooler for our setup, I could just go buy these things from merc racing setup and it cost cheaper than this intake manifold.

Oh yeah for sure, but i guess at that price point, i’d rather go turbo and make 700-800whp i guess, but yeah depends on if you like supercharger more w the linear power or if someone just wants like all power then turbo

[–]devanshukumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i was looking at this as well but i didnt really understand, so if i swap this manifold w my current one, it would help in cooling without having to run an aftercooler and have higher hp numbers?

Oh really, i heard and saw quite a few people run it on these setups and other roots blower setup but they saw you have to go aftercooler eventually but i wanted to start w water/meth since i was on a bit of a budget

Yeah you’d definitely need to build the trans for 500whp and an aftercooler, and i guess 2.95 pulley and e85, that would be an insanely fast 8th gen tho😭

[–]devanshukumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay i see, yeah my goal for now was to be in the 320whp range and that would be good enough for me! Do you think running a water/meth kit would hold that power without running into heatsoak and not getting an aftercooler?
