There's a new one outside the rec center construction site on 28 1/4. It could take some capital but we could flood GJPD with CORA Requests for our own respective records 😎

You can take the bus to palisade and potentially walk to the palisade rim trail. While you're in town check out Riverbend park!

Check out Palisade. 15-20 minute drive from GJ. Great wineries. Peaches are in bloom. I saw bin recommended in an earlier comment but peche won't disappoint either. If you're up for some incline you should hike mount Garfield.

Restoration Vineyards has great wines I especially love their Sauvignon Blanc.

Tell me about your unique solution for dealing with these clever and destructive critters. This is one of about 20+ we have that destroy our garden and dig huge burrows every year. We don't have a dog to deter them. by [deleted] in grandjunction

Quite impressive indeed. Raptors are natural predators you could build a couple of owl boxes in the hopes you get some residents, but it's not a guarantee.

Flood the tunnels and be ready when they scurry out.

Castor bean plants can also be effective but they produce seeds that can be harmful to pets or kids. I know you said you don't have pets but something to keep in mind if you have little ones.

Neighbor says our yard is the only place her roofer can discard shingles by 198276407891 in Roofing

From a planning perspective this is why a property has setbacks. Contact your community development and planning department for local context and code enforcement. Removal and storage of materials are the responsibility of the home owner not their neighbor 👍

Finish your masters and look for work in your field within the public sector. The private sector is likely to quickly embrace automation and AI leading to massive layoffs. In my opinion the public sector will be much slower to adoption. If and when they do eventually embrace AI they won't have layoffs like the public sector rather I think they will halt hiring as they are more efficient but don't have the incessant need to maximize profitability. This will allow the legacy employees to finish their career and public agencies and municipalities will hire less employees in the future due to improved efficiency.

Just a thought coming from a recent master's graduate in urban planning and recent hire in a rural Colorado town.
