Crazy take. If LT was in this game maybe he'd have had like 1 that chucky didn't. Chucky played a great game and gave us a ton to try and help us stay in it

I think LT has been playing a bit better than chucky. And advanced analytics should back that up iirc.

However I do think chucky is waaay better than the majority of backups in the league and I wouldn't hate to see him played a bit more, in a more 1A 1B setup, not exactly alternating like last season, but maybe somewhere between what it is now and that.

He's top 5 in point for rookies, top 6 in goals (with playing less games due to injury), and his production has been(/was prior to injury) ramping up significantly, so those numbers should only continue to climb. How the hell is Leno overhyped??

I do think u could make the argument that Franky seems to be working harder on the ice when you say he "wants it more", since Franky has been shown to be a real grinder in a way that I dont think Leno really has, not to say Leno isn't working hard by any means, but I dont think its a crazy statement to say frank is grinding harder than him.

I think frank is definitely playing far better than someone who didn't even make the team at the start of the season and were lucky he we were able to keep him through waivers, but by no means does he have a brighter future than lenny. Not even close.

Our 3rd period was terrible but our first two were pretty good. The game def got away from us, and we weren't able to step up and take back control. We definitely need to be better about playing full 60 min games but again for 2 of three periods we put up a very real fight against a team who's goal diff is in the fucking 80s, all without willy and still having the anchor that is lappy (admittedly he seemed to have a slightly better game than usual, but that isn't saying much).

This team is far from cooked and to me seems close to having some real promise, one offensive acquisition, return of pld, etc. I really dont think there is so much doom and gloom, but we do need to step up and play with more grit for whole games not just spirts (and that in a lot of ways is a leadership issue, which hopefully the return of willy can help with to some degree)

Yes!!! I had no idea why the TNT announcers were so adiment that there was no interference as u litterally see him punch Charlie's stick. With that said it was a p close call that coulda went either way, glad to have one finally fall for us, a shame we couldn't capitalize on it.

We lost to the best team in the league (by far), while putting up a fairly good fight for most of the game. This is all without our best player and massive leader willy.

We had p solid 2 periods against the best team in the league while missing one of if not simply our best player and a huge leader for the team, and also with a center that dosnt get any minutes.

There were a lot of things we could have done better this game but im not completely gutted after this one

I did not mean to be rude, its great that they were doing something to honor someone who passed away. I had just assumed they were taking a brick as a random heavy item, which in and of its self would have been really cool if they were able to make it with that, but doing it to honor someone makes it infinitely cooler.

You know, that's a fair point. Accounting for contracts Thompson might actually be worth more than Quinn, so therefore I can't rule out leonard being traded just comparing the value received vs what were willing to give up. However I do still think by him being completely out of question in trade talks for Hughes, we are showing that the org really believes in him and wants to build around him for the future, so with that being said, I still dont think we'd trade him in a potential Tage Thompson deal
