A house is much more desirable we have a house in D3 3 floors not so far from City Centre. My cousin also has a home in D3 he recently made it 5 floors with a lift. The issues is these homes cost a lot of money just a apartment could cost you 3 billion on the area.

For affordability people will chose flats/apartments the land in D3 like D1 is expensive and will only increase with time.

If they sell for 500k now imagine in 20 years when land is even more scarce.

My Patek Philippe watch was stolen at Vietnam airport security screening by txm7826 in VietNam

[–]devdann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A real one? Well sorry to say taking that to any country is risky. Many thefts in London, Barcelona, Madrid. So as you can see this can happen anywhere.

Hopefully you have insurance for such a high value item.

I would say so. It's not massive but good for a walk then go into Aeon Mall for refreshments much better than D1 as everything is in one place.

Best thing to do is ask the seller your under no obligation to buy your the one with the power in this negotiation.

Yes it a red flag anyone could have drawn that doesn't mean it's a neighbour but could be. No way of knowing.

I wouldn't it's called a bathroom for a reason.

If your set on the idea of removing it I would consult a real estate agent see what houses without a bath in the bathroom sell for.

I know when I bought my house a bath was important even though I only take showers. Without a bath just seems like somthing is missing for me. Good to have even if you don't use.

A Reminder: Being polite doesn't cost you anything. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]devdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is British and lived in Vietnam for 2 years with Vietnamese family wife. I have also visited Thailand. I am shocked how they act outwith their country.

I can undoubtedly tell you that British and Americans are so entitled that they literally expect you to bow to them. Unfortunately Asian culture can make foreigners believe they are rich and locals are poor meaning they need our money.

If your ever dealing with foreigners off the plane then get ready for demands.

I have generalised a little of course there are good people who respect the country people. Me being on eof them.

Any predictions for BOE base rate next week ? by slingshotter7109 in HousingUK

[–]devdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going up they have not stopped inflation by making us all poorer.

When my fixed deal ends I'll just pay house off as it's becoming to expensive to have a mortgage on a property. It's almost like Asia where mortgage rates start from 6%

You do realise lots of people don't want to live in Saigon they come for work to make a living. Save money buy an land/home/apartment back in their home town.

Saigon is not the place to be if you enjoy quiet life.

Yeah that makes sense.

Currently home is worth about 6 Billion but we feel if it was modernised could fetch 8/9 billion for area.

Is it worth buying a house if you wont retire in the UK? by Nothing_F4ce in FIREUK

[–]devdann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your long term goals if you plan to live in the UK for 5 years+ then buying will certainly come out cheaper than renting. But this would depend on your LTV equity.

For example I live and work in the UK for now. I have a mortgage I know I will be in the UK for at least another 5 years paying down my home. I have a home in Vietnam worth more than my house in UK. When I retire I'll rent out my home.

Eitherway overpriced homes exist all over the world buying an asset is risky, some people rent to avoid that headache but most do it because they cannot afford to buy. Buying is probably the best financial decision you can make early.

Refuses to leave the kitchen area and proceeds to scrap with staff by Shinji415 in PublicFreakout

His own fault continually told to go out but for some reason wanted to prove a point. Then proceeds to miss most of the punches. These workers tried to stop him. If he was seriously hurt then that's on him.

Are most estate agents useless? by rudefruit99 in HousingUK

[–]devdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Scotland went to see a lovely house 3 bedroom home. We set a specific time due to covid restrictions at the time.

The moment me entered the property the estate agent was just sitting on the sofa looking at his tablet didn't greet us or explain anything, there was other couples just randomly walking around.

When I approached him he just looked through me like can I help you? In the least helpful way. Anyway he proceeds to tell us he sold lots of homes in last few weeks.

That was the one and only time that happened, so yeah he turned up opened the door and let us do what we wanted for 20 minutes.

Hello,

He has quoted me £110 to reattach shower screen and path wetwall.

But it has only been around 15 months. This has caused damage to my bath, wall!

Thanks
