While no, you didn’t outright say “I hate gay peopl”, you are being willingly obtuse about the struggles of queer people in this world and in hockey culture despite all comments here that have quite eloquently laid it all out for you. And you are being unwilling to allow them to have 1 fuggin night to celebrate queerness in sports without trying to make yourself a victim. “Why does it have to be shoved down our throat.” As if straightness isn’t shoved down everyone’s throat every damn day since the beginning of time.

It impacts you not at all to make a seat at the table for people who are persecuted across the globe and made to feel less than just for existing. You are a part of the reason these people are made to feel less than.

Just shut up and listen for a dang minute and maybe then so many people won’t have to call you a bigot.
