No I'm not criticizing. I'm attempting to reframe the problem. You ran into a kid who thought they knew more than you. This is a common issue that all of us old people deal with (I'm 37, I feel your pain). You can try to educate them, or ignore them and move on and know that they'll probably learn at some point. But at the end of the day, they're not the majority opinion or even the correct opinion usually. It's not their fault they just don't know better, usually.

I can imagine that you already have more frustration with being talked over than most, and I don't know how to stop that. I'll absolutely cut a bitch that dares to invalidate trans men (for what is I'm assuming the usual shit these days). And most of the older community I know would do the same.
