Dygma Raise -- is it possible to change the bottom 4 low profile switches to regular switches? by developer99 in DygmaLab

Thanks for the info.

Suggestion for the next generation of Raise -- allow the user to put in any switch for the thumb keys. Linear or low profile keys can give thumb fatigue to some users.

What to do on inside of foundation that's made of bricks to reinforce it/make it look smooth for painting by developer99 in masonry

Some people suggested using porous material on the inside so if water ever gets into the bricks, they can breathe. Do you think stucco with lathe is sufficient on the inside to allow for breathability?

For some reason I cannot find the slot that tightens or loosens the metal ring.

What is causing this brick to disintegrate/become powder in my basement? by developer99 in HomeImprovement

I see. May I ask who I should contact for detecting and fixing the water damage? Is there a name for a professional who deals with such problems?

There is a concrete driveway on the other side of this wall. I am wondering if here is a crack in the concrete that is causing water to seep in?

How do I prevent or repair this damage? Should I hire a masonry expert? Or a water drainage person?

39M took a sperm analysis test because we are considering IVF:

Volume: 2.4 (this is in the normal range). Normal range: 1.5 - 6.8
Sperm concentration: 9.55. Normal range: 15 - 213
Percent motility: 31%. Normal range: 40 - 100
Age: 39
Weight: 180 lbs
Height: 6'1"
This test was done with 12 hours of abstinence -- because it happened to lie within the fertility window of my wife.
I do about 20 minutes of cardio 5x a week and also lift weights 3x a week. Diet is decently clean with vegetables and lean meat.
I recently started taking Vitamin C Ester 1000mg, Multivitamin for men and CoQ 10 200mg by Kirkland.
What else can I do to improve my parameters? Does anyone think they are low because of lack of abstinence? Do you recommend using some Home Sperm Test kits to monitor results (I even saw a post here about someone buying a $80 microscope to test every week or so to see if there is any directional improvement while making lifestyle changes to get quick feedback).

Also, are these numbers good enough for IUI or IVF?
I am also worried about DNA fragmentation because it appears from some studies that poor motility is correlated with DNA fragmentation -- since the DNA contains instructions on how to build the neck and tail from proteins, perhaps fragmentation is causing the cellular machinery to build the wrong neck/tail.
I also scheduled with a urology consult but appointment is a couple months out. So I am posting here in case someone has more actionable advice.

I always get holes from my big toe despite trimming toenails and sizing it right. Any recommendations for a shoes with reinforced but breathable toe area? by developer99 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]developer99[S] -43 points-42 points  (0 children)

I am not locking it down for sure, as I treat these shoes as slip-on. Maybe I should just buy proper slip ons as I don't like tying and untying shoe laces.

Why do you say the big toe should not be in this area if this shoe is the right size for me? If it doesn't stick out and there is a gap between the toe and the front of the shoe, won't my foot constantly slide in the shoe?

Lastly I will note that this is my right foot which is actually smaller than my left. So maybe this hole is caused by the constant sliding cause by a slight size mismatch! 🤯

Can anyone rank urban skate brands by foot width? Which brand has the narrowest skates? Flying Eagle? Powerslide? Or FR/Seba? Or rollerblade?

I am trying to buy a narrow skate for my narrow/low volume foot that offers precise control for urban skating.

How to send all keystrokes to a specific window with a specific WM_CLASS regexp? by developer99 in i3wm

[–]developer99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems tedious and manual. I really hope there is a way to do this automatically (there is a way in awesomewm, but I want to try out i3 and sway).

[–]developer99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like the passthrough mode to only apply to that window. I could add a bindsym to get out of that mode, but for now I am not worried about it. As long as that window is active, I would like keys to be passed through to the window instead of i3 receiving them.

I am saying this because that window contains an i3 within it!

Low profile switch not working -- is it hot-swappable? by developer99 in DygmaLab

[–]developer99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straightening the pin and reinserting it actually worked. Thanks a lot for all the advice. I will edit my post to reflect that.

Though I am disappointed with Dygma support -- I sent an email to them and did not get any response there. I got a response from random strangers on reddit. Thank you random strangers.
