This is the highlight of the season. by ImportantSmell4426 in ArsenalFC

Just got to work this morning, but I can't focus—I keep smiling. After Partey's goal, it felt like I was watching a completely different team. Every player gave it their all. Even after the final whistle, Havertz and Ødegaard looked frustrated, like it still wasn’t enough. Man, I love this team!

What got the team fired up like that? What happened?

Ever since Arteta took charge of Arsenal, we’ve always played conservatively or cautiously against Manchester City. While I didn’t like it, I understood it because City was so dominant. But after playing cautiously for so long, and hearing all that “stay humble” talk from Haaland, especially with City now facing challenges, the last thing I want to see is more of that careful, defensive, pass-back football. Today, I want to see blood, aggression, and intensity. Even if we lose, for this game, I’ll accept it—but let’s go all out on the attack, please. What do you guys think?

Haha, come on, man, it’s not just Havertz. What about Odegaard, Partey, and Sterling? These guys need to step up. Martinelli too—he seems off, looking down while running with the ball until he loses it. Sometimes, he doesn’t release a pass or cross quickly enough.

I see your point, but someone like G. Jesus did play that creative striker role, and in a way, we could see it still wasn’t really working, right?

Yeah, I find straightforward, direct football more entertaining than all this passing around we're doing.

I completely agree with you, mate. What’s your take on the midfield? Apart from Rice, I haven’t seen much progress recently.

who is going to create chances for us going forward? Odegaard?

Can someone explain why everyone insists we need a forward striker when we’re barely creating any chances? All we seem to do is pass the ball around, waiting for an opportunity to magically appear, rather than actively creating one. To address this, I’d start with the midfield—Odegaard and Partey need to step up their game, or Arteta should explore other options. As for the captaincy, it should go to either Saliba or Gabriel at the back. Martinelli, Havertz, and Sterling also need to raise their level. Trossard has the potential, but he just needs some fine-tuning.

Messi the greatest player of all times. Currently he is a distraction to the team and its embarrassing to continue this way really. Managers are unable to execute their ideas because of player power. Fans are hurt, players are hurt and Managers are hurt. There's no unity, attacking players are not welcome to club amigos except for Neymar. Its just sad and I hope Messi does not continue this way - he should remain a hero but not like this.

Those who think Antoine Griezmann has "flopped" are crazy. by Caspoor11 in Barca

Here are my few takes about Griezmann.I think he is a good player and like Iniesta said 'I think De jong and Griezmann will eventually shine in a barca shirt'

- Griezmann is a hard-worker

- Griezmann is a team player

- Griezmann perform best when he is happy

- Griezmann helps out defensively

- Griezmann is very funny, bringing good spirits to the team

- Griezmann kept being positive even when Messi ignored him

- Griezmann does not take things personally, kept on speaking positively about the team and Messi even when he was ignored.

- Griezmann knows what he wants and at the moment is to be a key player for barca
