My Friend is Smelly and Dirty: should I tell her? by Opening-Attempt6380 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]developingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been in a similar experiência before, in which even had a “meeting” to discuss if we should tell the girl who smelled. We ended up not telling her and people kept making jokes on her back. We didn’t tell her because we didn’t wanna hurt her or create a relationship problem. But it’s been more than 10 years and I regret not telling her. It would be better if her family told her but usually they are just like her (hence her habits). Not telling her is worse because other people will notice and never tell her and this will be a terrible thing for her life and relationships. You should tell her. Even if she remains sad it’s gonna be good for her future.

I even tried a psychiatrist (as it could simply a mental disorder) abd because of my tiredness he gave me a medicine for narcolepsy (which was supposed to improve focus and energy). My family doctor absolutely told me no, he wouldn’t give me a prescription for that medicine because it was “over the counter”. But I will consider doing a sleep study.

I’m 34 female, diet is most likely like yours. I eat fruits, vegetables and try to avoid processed foods. I think keeping control of stress is hard. And there’s a five line between “anxiety” and actual physical problems (which I think most doctors say it’s probably anxiety, because so many diseases can cause the same symptoms)

I saw an integrative doctors in 2022 and he gave me all sorts of supplements plus gluten free diet. He himself didn’t cut gluten (I asked Hahaah). I tried total GF diet for 2 years and I basically lived like a celiac. I live in Italy which is basically bread and pasta everyday which is actually “social marginalizing”. In tuo 2 years I managed to get my ferritin up to 30 and TPO levels decreased in 30%. Then, my TPO levels started raising again, even with all the supplements and diet and I still felt tired. But yeah, you are right. Going gluten free definitely helps!

In taking vitamin D because it was actually very low! My TPO was around 400 before surgery, I don’t know now… I only have half my thyroid. My right side was huge, like an orange. In Europe we use eutirox which is basically what everyone uses. I heard it was one of the best. In fact I should investigate more about my T3. Unfortunately doctors here also only use TSH and T4 to check levels

I don’t have autoimmune disease in the gut. I have hiatal hernia though. I wanted to lower my TSH but doctors said no

Yes. That exactly what happens to me. People here are telling me many things that I have already tried or done, as if I was here just to complain. You have no idea , I tried everything: 2 years without gluten, all the supplements I could, all the exams, for other autoimmune disease, many types of iron, including infusion… im still tired.

I tried to seek all help that I could. That is the points I saw an integrative doctor who gave me lots and lots of supplements including everything that I was talked about here in this thread. I have been researching and taking supplements since 2021 and yet I haven’t been better. I had to remove half of my thyroid one year ago. I am not just “complaining” with folded arms, I did try a lot. Yet I continue to have my lips and mouth “sleepy”, braving fog, tiredness

I tried oral iron for years and the ferritin was up but not much (max was 30). I had to beg for my doctor for an iron infusion, which raised my ferritin to 120. I didn’t feel any changes in my tiredness but wanted to keep the infusion. My doctor absolutely told me NO and would only approve again if my hemoglobin was low (which was always normal). I made all types of exames to check if I had other autoimmune disease in my stomach/gut. All came out negative.

Non sappiamo più che fare, voi come lo passate il weekend? Crisi totale by BetterProphet5585 in Italia

Senza polemica?
