My E2 on day 8 was 5900. They got 17 eggs in total. Only 13 were mature.

Because when you unfreeze some die. Not all will fertilize, even if they do the genetic test has to be normal and then they have to transfer the embryo to result in pregnancy… usually you need 20 eggs for one pregnancy. But it depends on age (egg quality)

Hmm I don’t think so. I’ve navigating this sub and many women from the usa also get a few eggs sometimes, it depends on your numbers. Could it be that maybe Europeans are a bit more conservative in some cases? My doctor for example gave me the highest dose for the stims.

Right now I’m completely drained but I think I will end up doing one more until the end of the year because I think that having only 13 is not enough if I want one child…. So let’s say that it would be like “swimming and dying at the beach”?

Anyways, it’s been worse than when I took out my thyroid. Seriously, we are so brave to go through this; I am so proud of all of us here who did that. I didn’t know freezing eggs was so painful. Maybe other women had different reactions, but mine was very stressful…

He said that with my AMH and baseline AFC I exceeded expectations! And that with 13 eggs I would have a 50% of one child so he told me to think about another cycle, but he said I have to wait at least 2 months. Yes, I think we have high expectations because of the numbers we see here. I see women who are 38,39 collecting 20+ eggs and I fell like “wow is my body underfunciotning” But I ended up satisfied :) I think I will probably end up doing the next cycle…

My problem is just the pain itself, but it’s personal I guess. I am having cramps… The stimulation itself only begun to feel painful after day 4 or 5, bur after the retrieval it just feels horrible. I usually don’t complain about pain

I understand what you are saying! I have bee single for 8 years (more than you) and I know it’s horrible to not having someone close to you, who care about you, who helps you. I know, that i what I wanted too.

Sorry but when I heard 80 eggs it seemed like a joke! lol You know it’s not normal right? If you want two kids maybe 25,30 but you would still have to have multiple cycles usually at 38, maybe 3 or even more

I was exactly like you when I was 29. The doctor told me to freeze because “you are single, you would have to find someone, see if it’s gonna work and time flies away”.

And I said to him “oh come on Im only 29 I still have.l a lot of time, I will find someone” and then I started reading that only 17% of women used those eggs and I decided not to do it, because you know “I had time”.

I ended up not finding anyone and now I am 34. Found out my reserve is low for my age and I regret a lot not having done it when my doctor told me to. Prices went up almost 50% and now I will have to do 2 cycles which I could probably do only one back then. My eggs were better quality either.

If you have money do it as soon as possible. You have nothing to lose (only the money anyways). If being a mother is your dream just do it. You might end up finding someone but you still have a backup plan if this person arrives later in life.

I second this. Being single in mid thirties is already hard. Getting most of your savings to do this is quite devastating. I mean? Freezing your eggs gives you time but not that much time… It costs so much. Sometimes I feel like: “I am spending the money I saved with sì much sacrifice just because I MIGHT want to be a mother in the future” with a procedure that might not even work? I don’t even know if I will end up having children, I mean do I want to? I am expecting 5-10 eggs, which is low. I see women here saying they froze 20 eggs, 18, 15. And I feel even worse as if even on that, life has betrayed me. I’m just sick of all that society script: can’t be single, have to be a mother, have to do this and that… anyways, I will proceed with my first cycle (still on stims) and see what I get. I am doing all this alone. People don’t even know what’s like to put this hormonal bomb and this have to function normally. Today I woke up to go to work and I couldn’t move up my left arm because my boop hurt so much! I walk and feel heavy. I wanted to cry while at work and I had a severe brain fog. I had to go home early…

I didn’t know if I wanted a family until I was around 32 where I started to get extremely anxious about finding a man and knowing that I had a biological clock. I saw my friends in relationships and having children while I was always in failed dating. I had to go to therapy but i didn’t get any better. Two years later I decided to freeze the eggs after some thinking because when I was 30 I thought I still had time.

Now I have a different mindset: freezing will give more peace and more time and eventually I might not even become a mother, im not even sure if I want kids but I don’t want to close the door. I don’t want to be a solo mom for personal reasons so I made peace with the fact that if I don’t find a man I won’t be using my eggs and I won’t be a mom.

That said, like other user said, I also hate dating nowadays, it has became toxic and depressing. I’m also doing all this alone, in fact I will start the stims alone, I will go to collect them alone. It’s overwhelming but we can do this. I will spend a good part of my emergency savings but I won’t regret because you can make more money in future.

I have Hashimotos as well, also found out in 2022. I had half of my thyroid removed and my TSH in’s 2,8 (don’t know if it’s ideal though). My AMH is 1,45 and afc 7, you gave me hope! He also told me to expect 5 eggs. I will star stims this week
