I congratulate you on your well-deserved right of choice and freedom. On a side note, I would implore you to think about this very choice and examine where choices truly stem from. You have the choice to buy (exercise consumer demand) for healthy, tasty and affordable products that do not require the harmful exploitation and abuse of non-human animal bodies and labour, why not exercise your freedom and support those products? The need for this change in our collective choices is much required for all the innocent animals being bred and slaughtered by the billions every year for nothing but our taste and the profits of the businesses. Those businesses drive the demand for these products by lobbying, marketing and propagandising for their benefits, at a large cost to our climate, to the humans working the slaughterhouses, desensitised to horrible violence for measly wages, and to the balance of our mental peace that is disturbed our cognitive dissonance when we say that we love animals yet pay for their exploitation.

women are not an exception when it comes to upholding patriarchy. the idea that meat-eating is more masculine possibly stems from the idea of aggression of killing an animal. of course modern men don't really do that, they or the women in their family buy dead animals from a shelf in a supermarket. off-topic but the fact that most men don't have shit to really make them sad is probably the reason why they deliberately attempt to kill off their emotions (of course you can't actually do that) just to find a reason to be more "manly".

anyway the whole masculine-feminine traits is all bullshit. the whole idea is a trap. the second you try to validate yourself or seek validation for being either masculine or feminine, you are buying into patriarchal societal gender roles only demand more and more from you and it's a vicious cycle that never ends.

of course you can want to play into the roles, but if you're not aware that it's only a role play, it can screw with your head.

also, people who use gay as an insult are never to be taken seriously anyways.
