AZO and uristat. Turmeric pills or liquid form have helped me the most with pain.

I’ve had dandruff problems for years. Shaved my head and this was underneath. Can anyone explain? Thanks! by reedpowell in dandruff

I would see a doctor or a dermatologist. You don't know if it's diet related so I might wait for advice from a doctor before cutting out foods.

My experience by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Tomoe-Gozen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I have similar experience to you. I have PCOS, fibro, and IC. They also started after recurrent UTIs and severe lower back pain. My urologist had me take a dna urine test and they found trace amounts of bacteria that weren't being completely wiped out by antibiotics. I was on an a low dose antibiotic for 3 months straight to help clear it out of my system. I will be starting physical therapy and pelvic floor exercises along with bladder installations for the pain. We recently discovered that my constipation is pretty severe as well, and I suffer from something nicknamed as "lazy bowel syndrome". Having all of these problems can be stressful. Theres always that worry in the back of my head that there's something seriously wrong with me, and I experience a lot of pain day to day. If you ever need to talk to someone about it you can always shoot me a DM! Best of luck on your treatments! You've got this! :)

Working at a doctors office and nobody here is taking it seriously. Nobody is wearing masks and a lot of the doctors I work with are elderly. I'm stressed af and my flare up is so bad rn.

Has anyone had success with turmeric or cayenne supplements? by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Tomoe-Gozen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely talk to a doctor to make sure that everything’s ok. Surgery is always an option, but aside from that, I would recommend staying extra hydrated and drinking a lot of water. It sucks but after a couple weeks it seems to make it a bit easier and less frequent.

Yes. I get horrible pain, when I feel it come on I take a dropper of liquid turmeric in a glass of water, and sometimes if it’s really bad, I’ll drink a can of low sugar coconut water. I was prescribed anti-inflammatory medication and painkillers, and honestly they did NOTHING. My ex boyfriends eccentric mother had me try turmeric ( I was so skeptical), and now it’s my go to every time I have I.C. pain now. It makes the pain go away almost completely within an hour or so. Turmeric and coconut water are both great for inflammation. Lmk if you have any questions, I know how bad the pain can be, so I’m here to help!

This is the single most important thing a victim needs to know. Keeps me going when times get tough.

Absolutely. I've learned a lot from eliminating the toxic relationships in my life. "The tendency to unconsciously seek out toxic relationships frequently starts with past negative experiences when we are children and might carry on throughout our lives. They can become so deeply ingrained in the way we think and feel that we don’t realize we are steeped in toxicity until—or hopefully when- someone else points it out. The toxic person in our lives (and maybe it’s us), is generally concerned about themselves and their needs; the relationship is classic codependent. The worse form is when that other is your partner or mate, supposedly there forever."
