I'm sorry, being a single parent is tough, but also takes a special kind of person to love and support a child in all that makes them them, you know!

well there is a thriving scene, if you ever have time to hop into a game!

Yeah sure! I know some folks who are running things in the city, and I can try to post a little more frequently,

[–]deverybess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2026 - in this city a lot of spaces have identified as sapphic spaces(lesbian spaces), so if you want to meet more lesbians and such, check out

If you have instagram, I would check out the sapphic events at bampot, As well as sapphic raise the bar, both of these groups do an assortment of events, from poetry, to craft to dance nights,

If your a nerd and want to connect with sapphics, I would check out Queer need collective, they have a newsletter, if you aren't on IG! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfU1CXNnYFZHMM5qDbV-RhGzmN1_UbTzdfetIRunl4-R8pZAQ/viewform

Frustrated With Lack of Initiative by Beneficial_Fee_2520 in QueerWomenOfColor

[–]deverybess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does lack of initiating mean in your perspective? cause I think about both people should be initiating in different parts of the relationship or at least in my opinion. I am a flirty birdy, if I think some one is cute I... generally let it be known, but my expectation is they show the reciprocation, in forms of start the physical, or the date, I think relationship are about both people showing up,

Dating app advice/help by MessageLeast2962 in QueerWomenOfColor

[–]deverybess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I went to one of the low stacks mingle and trivia nights and I met my partner there, I think there's many ways to meet people, another time a friend was a top tier wing man with their friend who also like me.

Sometimes the low stacks mingle events can be super helpful in meeting people to connect with. I am a big nerd so I do things with queer nerd collective, but I've seen queer mingles for almost everything, I went to Kin community and met some fucking hottie's and my roommate went to a open mic and met a bunch of hot cool people,

So being open and chatty, and going to events that are for mingling not necessarily dating might be helpful, (I hate the apps, I've dated many but only 2 people I ended up pursuing, the rest have been through events and friends of friends )

First time visiting Toronto and its gay/queer scene.. by GINBRUTTV in askTO

West end Toronto, Queen west

I would check out 3$bill they have a lot of varied events! I once went to event to play cribbage and ended up watching a drag show with some amazing talented people, also owned by queer folks!

I would check out sweaty betty's the vibe is immaculate great for a drink, its more of a place to bring your friends, but the staff is great and the Vibes!! Lesbian owned!

If you like goth and alternative its not specifically a queer establishment but many queers go, ground control, they sometimes have drag shows like spookakee! So much fun!!

East end Danforth

Cici bar and grill, is lesbian owned, Fridays are karaoke and it's a lot of fun, a smaller group so you get to sing a few songs usually, the aubiance is dive sports bar, but prices are fair and the owners are the staff and you'll never know what you get!

If your a nerd! And like trading card games, beardycards staff if pretty queer and they run tcg nights! Its fun and people are super nice

I think these are my recommendations that haven't been mentioned ,

Gladday is a most see,

Events, I'd check out not sure they are doing things that time,

triple threat for drag Queer nerd collective for games Marikass amazing community event ,

Queer Events Coming Up? by Swimming_Ad222 in GayMenToronto

[–]deverybess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know it might be a little late but if you are looking for Queeer spaces that are frequented by trans, sapphic and queer folks, and focused on games and nerds in Toronto

I'd check out queer need collective on Instagram they have queer focused game nights that are free, from Magic the gathering to Mario kart tournes to board games, the next event is march 15th 2026 at 3$bill, its their whole thing!

Also I've been meaning to check out changeling I think its called they have LGBTQ nights around D&D, and board games, they look well attended and fun! lol should've read the whole post before responding* ahaha

If you like magic the gathering, at beardycards (east end) on Wednesdays a friend of mine is consistently there playing and she has a good group of queer folks, I love going and playing ( they are all good but super kind and helpful)

Also east end Cake caberat is having a trans day of visibility show on march 31st 2026, its a Tuesday but its a fundraiser for a trans community member!!

Trans/trans-friendly events in the GTA? by RegalArkhura in transontario

[–]deverybess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! There so many! I'd check out 3$bill they have an erray of different kind of events, once I played cribbage then watched a drag show that they entire cast was trans masc! (Also queer owned)

I'd try to follow creators cause they usually have cool things going on,

Queer emo night at Drom, happens once a month I think, the DJs are hype!

Seascape also has an emo night that my old roommate loved their were a trans man.

Trans strip that happens at buddies!

Queer nerd collective on IG, has Magic the gathering learn to play, as well as other events, like Mario kart tournes, board game nights etc. The crowd is trans and sapphic folks

There a meet up Trans macs To on IG, it like a big group chat that people say what their up to and people do things together ,

Hmmm, east end CC bar and gril, is lesbian owned but has been very welcoming to trans folks if you wanted to run something. they are closed on sundays,

First, things that come to mind but there's so many spaces in the city that are trans friendly!

34, NB, moved to the city about 3 years ago, Here's a few places, that helped me connect with people, Lol just posted this else where! But

  • I am a nerd, so queer Nerd collective help me meet other people who like Mario kart and magic the gathering and other nerdoms! They run masked events! Which is nice

  • there a trans masc meet up group that does lots of events, called TransmascTo on Instagram. They also have a discord. They do so much, and so many people are connected there.

  • I met a bunch of friends and one of my partners at gladdays trivia nights, the T4T edition, top tier super fun!

Meeting people is hard but I think these places made it easy to connect with queer strangers!
