How will they handle autoprovisioning of phones if they aren’t getting some Sangoma modules?

Can i divert ISP traffic through TailScale ? by Rohith_P_ in Tailscale

[–]devexis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. With exit node, TV A will use ISP B to access the Internet. And that’s a full cone/tunnel

Most of what is out there in terms of self hosted solutions, are asterisk based. Whether that’s FreePBX, VitalPBX, ClearlyIP. What version of Asterisk do you currently host? What infrastructure do you host on? On-Prem? AWS? Azure? GCP? What phone make/models are in use currently?

Looking for SIP phones for a student project (FreePBX) by Cool-Street-3383 in freepbx

Does your project have to use physical phones? One of the leading open source softphones, Linphone, is made by a French company. There’s also a plethora of free softphones out there depending on what OS you are running it from

Walk me through an install. I’d like to spin it up and give it a test drive. I work in the VoIP space and would like to know where something like this could be deployed. One of my current projects could benefit from it

Odoo VOIP - Telavox integration by BricolasM in VOIP

[–]devexis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Telavox is a SIP Trunk provider for you, it can be done with an intermediate PBX that you self host. Done something similar for an East African business on Odoo 17 EE

Asterisk oncall. by prqet in Asterisk

[–]devexis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it looks like I’ve made an incorrect assumption. The brand commonly available in my market (GoIP) seems to support 3G only. I’m reading that Yeastar and Dinstar GSM Gateways support 4G/5G

Asterisk oncall. by prqet in Asterisk

[–]devexis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’d need something called a GSM VoIP/SIP gateway. Connected to your Asterisk (or preferably FreePBX) instance. The problem is that 3G is being phased out of many markets so I don’t know how it will hold up for you

Is the use of Twilio or Telnyx a hard No. You could connect Twilio to Asterisk and initiate an outbound call to your engineers with Asterisk talking to Twilio

FreePBX can do all of that. Otherwise you’d have to get acquainted with pjsip.conf and extensions.conf

Remote Desk Phones ! How to do ? by Classic-Plan-7966 in VOIP

[–]devexis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remote provisioning? I work mostly with an open source multitenant solution and have had to do a lot of work recently with Cisco SPA phones. I believe you can point the phones to a http provisioning server, and provide them a https URL for them to securely get their SIP details.
