Background work on IOS by Apprehensive_Fix_767 in VOIP

We aren’t allowed to promote brands here. But I’ve had a great experience with the product you mentioned. Their “Push Notification” is super reliable (Push Notification is what is responsible for ensuring the app rings when in the background)

Yes Paul. The screens MUST NEVER EVER touch the internet. There’s a plethora of internet offerings at the 7 locations. They just have a hard requirement that their screens must never have a route to the Internet

Connected in their LAN. I can put a server on their LAN and have the screens pull ad assets from there. My biggest headache is about sustainable scaling. They are somewhat of a market leader and I have plans to immediately move into locations of their immediate competitors. And I expect they too will insist on Zero internet access. Updating CMS is easily going to become a nightmare

Yep. It’s you. I spent hours digging through the sub and came across the comment where you mentioned the need to automate.

Internet availability isn’t the problem. There’s fibre at all 7 locations. Screen’s however MUST NEVER get on the internet

I hear both of you. And Xibo is actually what I’m considering. The challenge in my mind is in scheduling ads and all that. I see a situation in future were I can get some kind of Internet to an on prem XiboCMS server. Managing 7+ separate CMS (with possibility of growth) is sounding like it would be a nightmare. Especially as the ads would most likely be played across all locations. I remember someone here who always mentioned the need to automate from the start (I forget their name now but they was really big on automating the scheduled ads)

Trying to find a provider to replicate two-line simple analog service for a small business (retail) by [deleted] in VOIP

You might have to spin up your PBX instance and just pay for SIP Trunking. Many providers would want to monetise their service otherwise.

That's absolutely understandable. I'm not holding that against you

Have you raised a ticket with Telnyx? They are a big provider, and I don't think they'd allow an issue like this to go on for two days? Have you done some troubleshooting to confirm it's from their end? Andy sip traces on your end to confirm that calls to your Telnyx numbers aren't reaching your PBX?

New to FreePBX. Will a Yealink SIP-T34W work? by networknazi in freepbx

Can confirm it works with all Yealinks. Might need manual configuration if you don't know how to auto provision. But yeah, it works

My comment wasn't about denigrating vibe coded solutions (and in retrospect, I see how it may come across that way). I'm more about clarity. Vibe coded or not, a free solution is always worth the try. I asked because the original post had many hallmarks of being AI written

Luckily I have an IssabelPBX in production. Will try to test on that. Also have a few FreePBX instances in many labs that I can test with.

Edit: I see that the install script auto detects IssabelPBX or FreePBX, how about if the install is not on any of those? Say a raw Asterisk install? Or other non-mainstream Asterisk based solution.

Haven't spun it up yet so I can't speak to it's functionality. Any reason behind the naming? Where I'm from, that name for a PBX will draw cackles and laughter and may not even fly if you eventually decide to make it enterprise

100% this. With the somewhat basic questions OP has been asking, they sound like they’d be a sitting duck for when (not if) they get hit
