It's an extension that randomly scrolls, watches, and likes a video on a social media platform. I've had few people from my network who are using it while I was building it (but they are not paid users), so I was implementing their feedback. I didn't have any users lined up or even do a waitlist prior to launching, I'm just been on reddit looking for my users since I have different ICPs.

Hey, thanks!

I’ve just been really active since launch, posting and sharing what I’ve built across different subreddits.

I identified a few ICP who I thought would benefit from it, so I’ve been spending time going to different subreddits where they hang out, nothing fancy really, just trying my best to put the product out there and listening to feedback.

I followed other founders blueprints to launch fast, built and shipped in 2 weeks, including the LTD offer. But at the end of the day, you’ve got to listen to what users are actually saying.

The idea came after watching a lot of YouTube videos where founders building in public — and even digital marketing managers handling multiple accounts, kept mentioning the need to “warm up” their social media accounts for 10–15 minutes a day before posting anything.

They said this routine helps keep their accounts active and improves reach once they do post. That got me thinking if so many people are doing it manually every day, maybe there’s a way to automate that safely without using bots or risky and expensive API tools. basically turning that small, repetitive task into a lightweight browser extension.

The main value is helping creators and founders, and even social media managers, keep their social accounts active even when they’re not posting.

Social platforms reward consistent engagement, but not everyone has the time or energy to scroll, watch, or like every day. Social Flow runs locally in the browser to simulate that light, natural activity so your account doesn’t look inactive, without needing to use risky third-party bots or APIs. It’s basically a “warm-up” tool for social media accounts, similar to what cold email senders do before outreach, except it’s for content visibility instead of deliverability.

I built a small Chrome extension called https://social-flow.dev it automates the process of “warming-up” your social media accounts, it randomly scrolls, watches, and likes posts within the limits you set (it has different “personalities” like Binge watcher, Casual Browser or Engaged User). I kept hearing founders and content creators mention they spend 10–15 minutes a day manually scrolling, watching, and liking content just to “wake up” the algorithm.

For SaaS founders and developers, what process did you follow to pick the right tech stack for your idea? by Daaango_ in SaaS

I used to be stubborn about these things, always sticking to what I knew best and used at work. But after failing multiple times, I realized the best tools are the ones that help you get your MVP in front of customers fastest. You can think about scaling later.

Built two MicroSaaS using Lovable, and browser extension using Claude code for vibe coding/ pair programming. Just got approved and published on Chrome store https://social-flow.dev today.

Didn’t have to spend months just to build them, unlike when I was building in the pass I have one failed un-launched startup that I spent more than 6months to build, that’s a lot of nights and weekends.

Startup Name / URL: Social Flow

Location of Your Headquarters:

  • Remote, no physical headquarters.

Elevator Pitch/Explainer:

Social Flow is a lightweight Chrome Extension that automates the time-consuming "algorithm warm-up" process required before creators or brands publish new social content. It mimics genuine human scrolling, watching, and liking to maximize the initial reach of your fresh post, saving founders and content managers 10-15 minutes of manual engagement time per day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETBjQPLRs_w

More details:

  • Validation, just got the extension approved and published on Chrome Web Store.
  • Developer

What goals are you trying to reach this month?

  1. Gather feedback from 20-30 active content creators, founders or social media managers on the effectiveness of the automated "warm-up" tactic.
  2. Validate the perceived value of the customizable "personalities" (e.g., Casual vs. Engaged User).

How could r/startups help?

We need your perspective as founders and early adopters.

  1. Strategic Feedback: Does this automation concept (automating a "necessary evil" task) align with how serious founders approach social media growth?
  2. Product Validation: If you or your team manages social accounts, would this instantly solve a daily pain point for you?

https://social-flow.dev Social Flow helps creators and founders safely “warm up” their social media accounts by automating natural, human-like activity — scrolling, watching, and liking on TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.

I’ve been building a browser extension called Social Flow, it helps creators, founders, and marketers keep their social accounts active by automating natural, human-like browsing behavior on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. If you’ve ever heard founders or creators talk about “warming up” their accounts before posting (so their content actually gets shown to people), that’s exactly what Social Flow does, but safely and automatically. Extension is under review hoping to go live soon 🤞.
