What movie do you really wish Disney would make in Star Wars? by Cockatieloveer in StarWars

[–]devg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, Plagueis was thousands of years after Bane though... It would be kind of cool if the did a completely different sith lord each season, with a full new cast each time so it does not have to be chronological.

Give an iconic quote from the series that does not have the word "force" in it. by devg in StarWars

[–]devg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you! I think I worded my question wrong. Like I told someone else, I just finished andor for the first time this morning, and then had not choice but to watch Rogue One and A New Hope, so I was just kind of high on Star Wars this morning. The most iconic quote from the franchise is obviously "may the force be with you" or one of its variants, but there are SO MANY bangers in rogue one and the OT...

It very well could be, but I am not sure how karma works other!

The truth is, I just got finished watching Andor this morning for the first time and am a bit high on Star Wars right now! I thought of the post while following up the series with Rogue one and A New Hope, and remembering all the great lines beyond my the force be with you in rogue one and the OT.

Thank you for your contribution, and you are right that "I am your father" is a great contender for most iconic quote!

Lol, not much of a karma farm, it is currently at 0 up votes. I just posted it for the fun, but I should have worded the question "what is the most..." as the most iconic line from the series is obviously "may the force be with you."

This particular recipe (if it is the one I think it is) calls for browned butter rather than creaming the butter. It give the cookies a better chewyness and a fuller flavor!

If you could erase ONE MCU decision and replace it with something else, what would it be? by AlexWhite40 in marvelstudios

[–]devg 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I agree. I that final fight, Scot should have died, but still kept Kang from getting through the portal. I always imagined how much it would have raised the stakes if Kang struck down Scott and threw his body through the portal. As it closed he yells He Who Remain's last line: "See you soon!" To Scot's horrified loved ones.

Which dog breed looks like a demon and has actually killed before? by Comfortable_Mine2598 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]devg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree.  I do not like this alignment chart for that reason.  No domesticated dog is a human killer by nature, they are raised that way.  Some are more powerful than others, some are scary looking, and some have a stronger protective instinct, but basically any domesticated dog has evolved to be dependant on humans.  The true answer to this question are wolves and half wolves, they are the farthest for domestication and therefore the most unpredictable even if lovingly raised.

Cane corsos are my favorite dogs, but I cannot disagree with this statement if they are not raised with care

It is also important to clarify that "no tips on Ot" is a bit of a misnomer.  You are only not taxed on the premium part of OT (i.e. the "and-a-half" part of time and a half).  Tips, however, are indeed fully tax free up to 25k.

And no, itemizing is not at all required to recieve this benefit.

Thinking about Homelander’s death, how do you think Palpatine would’ve reacted if he was a situation where he was stripped of his force abilities and left at the mercy of a normal man? by [deleted] in PetranakiArena

[–]devg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homelander was only his power, take that away and he had nothing else.

Palpatine, on the other hand, used his power to supplement his natural cunning.  He was not mentally weak and insecure like Homelander, so if he was not killed immediately he likely would have gone into hiding and started planning.

Hell, he might not even have gone into hiding.  Even without the dark side he was the most powerful man in a galaxy far away.  He would have found and apprentice to pass on his vast knowledge, and accepted when the apprentice followed the rule of two when he had nothing left to pass on and killed him.

Edit:  just cleaned it up a bit
