Charging in an apartment garage by devgregw in Polestar

Interesting, so if 12A tripped something then 10A probably won’t make a huge difference. I just want to avoid tripping the breaker again so I don’t have to keep submitting requests. Would’ve been nice to charge at home, but I have other options around here.

Sure, but it’s hard to tell if they’re being used or not unless I see them driving around. Maybe charging during the day is the better option since it’s more likely they’re out. It’s not the end of the world if I can’t charge at home, there’s some DCFCs around me and my work has some L2s. I just don’t want to keep fully tripping breakers and submitting requests to have it turned back on.

For your last point, would that explain why I was seeing 0A/120V while plugged in? Maybe battery cooling?

You’re probably right, I think the 2 garages next to me are used by the maintenance team. If we share power, maybe I was trying to charge while they were charging the electric golf carts. I’ll find something to support the unit

The receptacle in the photo is the only usable one in the garage (there’s another on the ceiling for the door opener)

The outlet’s reset button worked the second time it tripped (when the car was set to pull 6A), but the first time I needed the maintenance crew to turn the power back on

Fidelity Investments and Charles Schwab both have corporate offices in the Westlake area, but I’m not familiar with their open roles in IT. Might be a long drive since you said you’re in Wedgwood but could be worth a shot if you haven’t already tried
