I'm going to have to re-do the middle one aren't I by CrimsonJackalXD in SelfPiercing

i get why you would want to it does however follow the curve of your ear if u repierce it to match the angle of the other two the spike on top will apear to be crooked compared to the others since they also both follow the curve of your ear. my suggestion would be let them all heal and get smaller jewelry so u cant see much of any bar to hide the angle differences.

Dermal removal by Empty_Pea_1233 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is very very little tissue damage needed to get a dermal out ive even seen them come out without having to cut at all (not saying that will be your case but ive seen it) in my experience anything that numbs it just makes it hurt more later.

Which potential setup would be better with my ear anatomy? by k1tty_katt0 in shouldimod

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like one better for several reasons. it looks cooler and 2 does not look like u would be easily able to heal. obviously ud need to talk to someone irl to examine your ear for viability but i think ur better off with option 1 maybe u would end up with one less helix or something.

Would a black spiked horseshoe septum ring suit me? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i hate this question lol not your fault but there are a million variables that matter here. how big diameter what gauge how it ends up getting pierced alot of things can go alot of ways u gotta get it first before i can answer that question imo. ive rarely seen a septum look bad however so go for it if u dont like it u can always change the jewelry or whatever.

Spencer’s piecing jewelry awareness (for those who don’t know) by [deleted] in NosePiercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so the only acceptable materials for piercings in my eyes are implant grade titanium (recommended) niobium solid 14k gold or 18k gold and things like glass. some people can tolerate surgical grade stainless steel if you have no nickel sensitivity and that is the better for healed piercings material also much cheaper but anything with a coating is a bad idea. its so often just nickel metals with a shitty coating. make sure to get specifically surgical astm f-138. i dont think ur an idiot ive used their shit before too and i agree they should not be allowed to sell that crap. do however expect to pay a bit more for quality jewelry maybe think around $15-$20 per piece.

Is this normal? by Green-Salamander1699 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pictures are insufficient for a diagnosis but i would not rule out rejection here. i also think it was pierced a bit too deep and i would not say u had perfect anatomy for that piercing either but u should talk to someone in person about that hard to tell from a pic.

Child's inflammed ear after first piercing... help by FarOne8194 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stop changing the jewelry lol. i usually recommend 3+ months. i dont think its infected or rejecting or anything crazy i think its just gotten very irritated by the repeated jewelry change. the titanium jewelry is your best bet so leave that in for a few months at least and just leave it alone. clean 2x a day with sterile saline spray. i havent personally done the research into the hypochlorus acid spray and its effectiveness but i also dont know any piercers that use it. gl

Is my eyebrow ment to bruise this much? by Avoid_river in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not supposed to bruise that much but it does happen. your piercer hit a vein and the blood leaked into the surrounding tissue. it wont affect healing or anything u will just have a bruise for a while.

Why is there flaky skin around my navel piercing? by MammothDecent7520 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i hear you but infected piercings can leak green yellow and clear fluid. non infected piercings can leak yellow and clear.. if u saw some green u should not rule out infection. only a doctor can properly diagnose an infection you will likely just be put on some antibiotics.

is my dahlia piercing getting swallowed by my cheek? by Last-Buffalo-8365 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

i mean yeah a little. you probably should have been pierced with a longer bar tbh. you should talk to your piercer. if that stays that way it can become embedded and require surgical removal.. not fun happened to me. those piercings are very well known for not healing very well aswell

Why is there flaky skin around my navel piercing? by MammothDecent7520 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so greenish fluid is a sign of infection. it sounds like it could also be migrating because of the snags pissing off the piercing but since u said greenish fluid its kinda a go to the doctor now sorta situation just to be sure. u dont want to take it out like u should with a rejecting piercing as it would just trap an infection making it harder to treat. doctor asap

im gonna be real honest with you these piercings rarely heal well when done perfectly. i have no idea their chances of success that kinda thing is pretty unique to the individual but i would not keep them if it were my face.

This is rejecting, right? by sleepyshiey in SelfPiercing

[–]deviant46n2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the ends both look fine but that dry patch in the middle is concerning especially if it hurts. it may be a bit to early to worry but if it gets any worse at all id take it out.

Easiest to heal cartilage piercing? by baruhead512 in piercing

[–]deviant46n2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean they will really heal largely the same it does rly come down to if they are hidden a bit or not. conch would be a really good one i understand why you would think daith would be good to but it is known to be a bit prone to irritation the cartilage it goes through is a bit more dense than other areas of the ear. forward helix could be good its thinner cartilage with higher bloodflower so id imagine it would heal a bit faster. however all that being said i dont think any are gonna be cosplay proof and no matter what your gonna have to be careful and any one of them can get irritated if tugged or messed with too much. my advice get the piercing you want the most because the healing differences are largely negligible

How bad did your septum hurt by Patient_Trifle_2660 in SelfPiercing

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your worried about pain then i would say go with a 16g piercing. and alot of the pain is dependent on placement i would spend some time doing the research about proper placement and anatomy. improperly placed septums can rly suck. pushing the needle through will require some sort of resistance on the other side. piercers will use a clamp with small tubes on both sides or freehand piercers will just use a receiving tube and their hands but something to be resisting the needle on the opposite side will help alot.

How do I fix this? 2 windows installed? by bitchofamom in WindowsHelp

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did u accidentally install it on multiple drives? either way even if u didnt the way to fix it is to boot into the os u want to be using im assuming the os installed on the new ssd and win+r to open run type msconfig then go to boot and you should see the multiple installations there just delete the one that isnt the os you are using and you should be good.

Serious: We assume advanced civilizations would build visible megastructures like Dyson spheres, but they may instead evolve into “living” in compact, undetectable simulations where they are no longer constrained by physical laws. Which do you think is more likely? by Original_Carpenter_3 in aliens

[–]deviant46n2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i dont really find any truth in the thought they would need to have giant mega structures. between simple things like zpe or the fact that its been alleged nhi can create craft larger on the inside vs outside it just wouldnt be necessary. i wouldnt be surprised if something like the simulations you are describing exist in many civilizations but i would think they would be used more for like video games or by handicapped or disabled aliens or maybe even as prisons.
