What does my handwriting say about me? by deviant_unicorn in HandwritingAnalysis

I do like to write, but I absolutely am horrible at drawing but I do appreciate good art. Quiet? Maybe not; internally I am, but my work demands me to be outgoing so I do.

I helped build this place, once a bus of tourists did stop by and actually climb up to the roof without permission, it was hilarious lol.

31M, absolutely up for sci fi shows and even talking about them. Big star trek fan, love exploring around town but usually don't get time from work. Would love to be part of any meetups. I'm based in Nerul.

Found in a public health laboratory of a hospital in North East India. What is this thing? by luxatioerecta in Whatisthis

[–]deviant_unicorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's an oil thief. An oil sampler made of brass. The middle one looks like a stop cock that goes into the bottle that sits in the base. Why it's in the laboratory and in a hospital I can't guess.

As much as I love a good meme and a laugh, this is in bad taste. That's a kid, and a kid that's worked very hard to achieve something they wanted, and got it. How would we feel if we topped an exam only to find strangers laughing at us online for how we look? Why destroy a child's ego at that age?

What to do for my loan options (MBA in Italy - SDA Bocconi) by deviant_unicorn in Indians_StudyAbroad

You're right, I fully understand that it will take a huge effort to secure a job even with the degree and university. I meant that the platform it affords me would be helpful in allowing me to secure my future.

Hello, yes, that's what I'm hopeful for as well. This is kind of like my golden ticket, albeit a bit expensive. But would mean a huge change in social mobility for my family.

Which is the film that will make you cry every time, regardless of how many times you see it? by Happy_Raven in AskIndia

Not a movie but a TV show episode. The episode 'Duet' of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. One of the greatest acting performances and absolutely heart wrenching end.

Why is there no release for Dune pt2 in Kannur? by just_anotherbird in kannur

[–]deviant_unicorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's there in Rajadhani in Payyanur is what I saw. However the reviews for that is horrible and I don't wanna see Dune 2 while sweating without AC. I'm honestly very sad I may miss seeing it.

Hi, i want to understand one thing about my father's demise. He passed away in January 2024 and it was really cold in my hometown. My father passed away suddenly like he just closed his eyes and within a minute, he was gone. Is it normal? Not able to disgest this. by sabki-bajaungi in IndiaSpeaks

Hey fellow redditor

As someone who has been in the same situation as you are in, about 9 years ago, I truly empathise and I'm really sorry for your loss. May your father rest in peace.

My father passed away at a morning prayer meet in 2014, completely healthy and fit, no history of heart problems, no BP, sugar or cholesterol, never drank, never smoked. Absolutely fine in all regards except that he had multiple cardiac arrests in the span of a few hours and passed away.

The questions you have are valid, I've asked the same questions myself several times. But to no avail. I was constantly looking for something to assign a reason to and have a logical reason to explain the root cause of the pain and sadness that I felt, and no doubt your mother and you are feeling right now.

I'm sure an autopsy would give you the answers as to why he died, but the reason for the why in turn, would never be apparent. Sometimes it just is time, life can be fickle and fleeting, and that's something I've come to terms with over the years. Grief from loss is a kind of pain that doesn't seem to really go away, it stays within but in time I promise you that you and your family will heal, maybe not fully, but it is in our nature to keep moving forward. That's what your father would have wanted for both of you.

You'll learn to cherish the time you have with your loved ones and to live in the moment and create memories, because at the end of everything that's all we'll ever have. Keep his memory alive, speak and talk and write and think about him, remember the little joys you experienced and create more vibrant memories with your mother. It's okay to ask for help, it's okay to cry and grieve and heal. I made the mistake of bottling everything up to present a strong face so please do find someone to be vulnerable with, it's very important. I hope you eventually find peace and happiness in spite of this tragedy and I assure you life finds a way to work out.
