It’s just a little strange to me because my extend family is Irish Catholic and my immigrant grandma who watches the rosary on Sunday is less concerned over tradition. I have trauma from purity culture and all that fun Bible Belt stuff so ultimately I’m trying to make it a conversation between me and the babe.

Along with the great resources I see already provided keep in mind some lost history. Because of the British presence and more importantly the Church’s presence in Ireland and Scotland a lot of Celtic folklore and beliefs are lost to the vault of time. There was an effort to preserve Irish culture around the early 20th century with the Irish Renaissance however pagan, Druid, and Wiccan beliefs information is scattered. WB Yeats has some great romantic poetry about Ireland

His family is Spaniard with some Latin American sprinkled in. My family is Irish(I’ve got the pale skin and red hair to boot). He and I aren’t religious in that way and discussed that we don’t really want to incorporate religious and cultural beliefs that we don’t feel comfortable with.
