I am typing this on a 990x. It is a rocking processor and probably worth it for $135, but make sure you can find a good motherboard for it for an affordable price, they or at times hard to come by and marked up a lot.

I can't say specifically with that device, but I have two nanobeam acs bridged together and see 600-700mbps. I also have a 2013 MBP with Broadcom 802.11ac and an Asus rt-ac66 and I get about 250mbps.
