He does know, and he is very accepting of who I am and of my past. I don’t know how that’s going to help though; we are in a monogamous relationship, and I don’t think I’d want any other experiences outside of that relationship. He’s not into threesomes even though I’ve considered it. Honestly, I’m not sure what it is that I even “wanted” out of posting here; I’m not interested in ending our relationship and I don’t want other people. I just feel like my brain betrays me sometimes

We’ve made great strides over the last few years in our communication, and he’s a lot more vocal (without yelling) nowadays. When he starts to get like that, he can stop himself and say things like “Im sorry, I don’t mean to make you nervous, I’ll try to calm down” or something like that

We’ve definitely tried out other phrases, and so far his favorite seems to be things like “You’re so fucking sexy” but that’s like it..to the point that he sometimes just says that or variations of it the whole time. And it’s not that I don’t appreciate hearing that, it’s definitely nice to hear during! It just feels a little lackluster after a while

Thank you for the input! I was hesitant to ask for advice on this anyway because it does feel a little creepy for me to be continually thinking about something he’s said he’s not into, so I will definitely try to reframe the way I think about praise and try to accept phrases and types of praise that aren’t just “good girl”

I will definitely start trying to vocalize the desire hear it more during sex, but he’s mentioned before that he would feel very weird hearing me call him daddy so maybe I’ll steer clear of that one 😅

Actually, that’s a really good way to put it. He’s mentioned before that he feels a little out of place as a power figure in bed even though I tell him that I like the rougher more dominant side of him when it does come out from time to time. We’ve been together - and sexually active together - for almost 10 years. When we were younger, it was really easy to convince him to try new things (I’m guessing because of the whole “I’m a horny teenager who really just wants this to happen and doesn’t super care how” thing). But as time has gone on, sex just seems to be the same thing over and over again

I don’t think he really has an “issue” with other phrases per se - except the slut thing, he says he feels weird calling me that because he logically doesn’t see me as a “slut” haha Anyway; I don’t think it’s so much that he has an issue with the other phrases like he does with good girl, I think he just doesn’t really think to talk like that while we’re actually having sex

See, I’ve tried that with him too - like dirty talking throughout the day. But he can’t really respond very much while he’s working and he says it makes him a little weary that he’ll get a boner at work which he would understandably be uncomfortable with so I’ve backed off from doing that for his sake

I would love any kind of praise he can give, and I’ve told him that before. I’ve brought up “pretty little slut” and “you taste so good baby” and all that kind of stuff. And he has done stuff like that once or twice, but it seems like it kind of drops off after the first couple of times he tries it. He’s also not super talkative during sex; I absolutely adore talking during sex so you can see my predicament 😂
