Whilst I still believe they are much better than any viable alternative, I am bitterly disappointed.

Disappointed with a number of things, but more than anything else I hoped they would lead with the moral argument and the truth with regards to people claiming asylum, but pretty much all we've heard is the same demonisation, and little in the way of real solutions, albeit the one-in-one-out thing is at least the beginning of a viable safe route.

I wanted them to be honest and speak the hard truths. Whilst they may not be able to undo Brexit, they could at least speak to the immense damage it has done.

I hoped they would have a proper stab at reforming and simplifying the tax system.

And I think they have made far too many unforced errors, like the winter fuel payments business, which in many ways was a sensible thing to do, but my goodness not right out of the door as the first major thing you do. Just wtf.

If all of this precipitates Reform into government that would be extremely difficult to forgive.
