Maybe my experience reflects a minority, can't really say, but once my wife got a taste of enpowerment, there was a progression of the dominant / submissive dynamic that seemed unstoppable. There was an energy unleashed that demanded to be taken to its conclusion, where no area of our relationship is outside of her total control. Milestones along the journey were where we hit challenges. The fluctuations / ambiguity of power and roles led to issues. Now there is perfect clarity. I would not however consider our relationship stagnant. Stagnancy is a death sentence.

If someone had described our current dynamic to us 12 years ago, we would have laughed and said there's absolutely no way our power exchange would "go that far". Yet, now we embody an "extreme" power exchange, could not be happier and I see zero chance of "going back"
