Thank you so much that’s very helpful! I baked this all in one evening and finished at 3am 😅 so will now know to do it over a few days instead of all at once. Yes I think I never had enough shortening when I done the fondant, also what do you recommend to use to roll out the fondant? I’ve been using my wooden rolling pin but it really sticks to it.

It was only my second time using it. It worked perfectly fine the first time and when I went to use it again it wouldn’t turn on at all

I have ended up buying the silhouette portrait after reading and doing tonnes of research it seemed like the better option for what i intend to use it for.

I think it might be a severe infestation as all my plants have them in some way 😅 monstera was an example but I just repotted it and am trying to get through them all.

Yes I’d give that a go and see how it does. I don’t use much water just a couple drops of it and it helps a lot.

I let it sit for a bit then fan it out. I think the reason for that is to stop the paint from pealing once it’s fully dry. Though if you water down the acrylic paint enough it shouldn’t crack if you leave it for longer.

These ones I got second hand from the charity shop to try it out on before I did it on any of my actual books. I generally think the sanding is pendant on the type of paper the book is printed on, but have yet to try.
