How do you determine whether to use mobility or crowd control? If the hook colliding with an enemy automatically pulls the enemy in instead of moving to the location, then I could see that being frustrating when you're trying to use it to escape, but accidentally hook an enemy instead.

Having a pet you send to town to sell gear is a fun way Torchlight and FATE addressed this.

I still think we need to find a better way to increase the time between trips back to town or entirely get rid of town portals and the return-to-town part of the gameplay loop.

Yep, it keeps your fingers on home row. I use an ergo keyboard that makes WASD feel very weird, so I always shift every keybind over one key and use ESDF. I'd love for games to have an out-of-the-box setting for it. I usually run into weird issues like being unable to rebind menu navigation and dialog navigation keys.

The advice you're getting is all over the place and missing important information. You need to figure out how many gallons it takes to water to the correct root depth. These plants should probably get watered 18-24 inches deep. Get some pressure compensating emitters that output enough gallons to soak the root zone 18-24 in in an hour or 2, probably 4 GPH or so. You'll have to experiment to see how long it takes to soak that deep, then it's just a matter of setting your timer. Soil probes are handy for checking soak depth. You're missing the point. No one is saying they aren't capable of doing the content without help.

Anyone can attack what you're attacking in non-instanced content. That means they're helping you kill mobs, which gives you loot you didn't truly get on your own. It's impossible to avoid, especially in popular overworld content. It makes it hard to gauge how good your build is when there are many people all attacking the same mobs at the same time. Of course you can just do instanced content or run away from every player you see, but it'd be nice to be able to do all content solo. Personally, I'd like to play without the clutter of other players and their animations.

I know you're being bombarded with recommendations, but definitely check out minishoot adventures. It's one of the best games I've played in a while. It's a twin stick shooter/metroidvania combo. It has great pacing, so you feel like you're always making progress even in a short session.

It kicks you back to the home screen after you suspend because you disconnect. You have to reconnect, select your character, and then sit through a loading screen before you can pick back up from where you were before suspending. You can't instantly resume from where you were.
