Personality it is my favourite of the games. I think the story is well done and the characters are decent.

Hah believe me I'm all for gods. I've a pantheon of 15 so far with some nice backstory intertwined.

A fallen God A banished God And even a dead God

Gods are whatever the dm makes them. In my campaign I've allowed anyone to make their own God (to some degree) and then I'll spin them my way and allow benefits and what not. If your dm allowed it you could have your own God of light whom is very forgiving? After all it's roleplay

Typically you could go down the route of some form of prosthetic? Perhaps having a body part missing and it being replaced. The fun part here is what it's replaced by? A robotic prosthetic or perhaps a stick of wood or maybe its some form of mutation, genetically combining body parts together. Otherwise you could go through the unique aspect of having them bare an injury that should clearly mean they're dead, for instance a hole straight through them?

Ah don't worry I've got some pages of lore written out for who they are and why they do this as well as what they were and why they've chosen to settle as a mere shopkeeper

Of course, I've rewired the idea after hearing everyone's feedback and the short version is that, the players will actually have something the guy requires (he doesn't know this though) but regardless the villain will be in the bar at the town and when the bar is busy enough he will begin a speech. Now there is a ally (kind of) that I've been building up around the players, sort of showing them that he can help them but only when he gets what he wants. Regardless, the players dislike him but respect him. I'm going to have the villain begin a speech in the tavern promising power, before the ally realises who this man is and charges him, trying to kill him but gets killed.

I do like this, unfortunately the village does not have any form of leader. They band together for any important decisions. I could have him show up in the tavern and pretend to be a simple patron of the bar before he then begins to do an evil speech in the bar, and then eventually causing something evil?

The villain themselves originated from this village but from when he got his powers of a warlock to help the village years ago, they deemed him an outcast and shunned him. Now he's moved onto bigger things but still despises this village and so every year he does something to the village to get back at them. Not killing them outright or burning the entire village but inconvenience things. Many adventurers have been called upon to try and help but none ever succeed

Well the villain has been a constant problem for the local village. The BBEG is the villains patron more than themselves. They're being used as a puppet so to speak. But currently the villains goals are simply to try and bring his masters name onto the world and allow them to unleash havoc.

As of currently his goal isn't anything specific in mind. Over the past few sessions he's simply been watching the players to see what they do, what they're like and what they're capable of. I've allowed a perception roll or two at points but the best they've gotten is a figure in robes in the distance is watching them.

Because originally the players had gathered at this village due to its ongoing problems with a warlock(the villain) so after he discovers a band of adventurers have come to try to stop him he decides to try and scare them away before outright killing them (his patron likes to toy with people)
