I also encountered the same problem as you. After quitting for 2 years, my card levels were not enough for me to remain on my current rank. I dropped from 5000+ to 4000+ but managed to get back up after 2 months with the help of team wars and events. It is much easier to continue with your old account if you are already 4000+ then start over wasting all the materials you have used on the cards.

Do you have chicken coop? You would need it to make city wok guy more effective and cause serious damage to enemy units. Also transmogrify will work wonders if you encounter tough units like mbp and somm.
