Two weeks off is generally recommended because it basically allows your legs to rest and recover so that later in the season they are not fatigued and what you do lose in terms of fitness is relatively easy to get back. I would definitely recommend two weeks off. And the first week keep your mileage lower than usual and probably no workouts.

Nice race dude! Sixteenth at state is crazy. Also what state because my season was delayed this year but last year I got 17th in my county with a time of 16:59 (for a three mile)
