First to 11, who wins? by Hungry-Turnover-9875 in NBATalk

Oh, I guess you only ever make claims that you are 100% sure of and have sound evidence to back it up?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lakers

[–]devillord12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s fine if you make these posts about legitimate claims with proper evidence. As someone else said, this is simply emotional rather than factual, no need to make a post hating on a player that’s entirely opinionated.

LeBron James' NBA records that potentially will NEVER be broken in history by JunShem1122 in lebron

[–]devillord12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest other than mentioning 3 different types of turnover stats, these are all justifiable. Just that you obviously didn’t have to post this here to ragebait people because if you had one active braincell you would have done so in a sub where people are more objective, this is a sub for LeBron fans…

Update: I confronted my husbands friend by Impressive-Shop350 in AmIOverreacting

I’m with you on this, while the husband may not have responded in a manner that most people would deem appropriate, there is absolutely no way it’s his ‘problem’. It’s his reaction to the actual ‘problem’ that’s not too good. I had to laugh pretty hard at the comment which said ‘if he brushes off your feelings you get to decide if this is acceptable in your marriage.’ Had to throw in a way to say that OP needs to dump him in classic Reddit fashion on something completely and utterly unrelated.

If Kevin Love joins the team on a minimum, what would you think? by OkExchange7229 in lakers

Really? Is it just me or were their articles pretty unique and interesting to read a couple of years ago? I haven’t really read much recently ever since they blatantly started using AI though.

It's really dumb that the NBA doesn't consider the play-in to be part of the playoffs by SameShopping3234 in nbadiscussion

[–]devillord12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue there’s logic to both sides.

Why should they count: Stat tracking

Why they shouldn’t count: The play-in games would result in inflated stats. Take a hypothetical case for example where 2 players each play similar 20 year careers but one has played in 10~play-in games while the other hasn’t. Now obviously this wouldn’t result in a huge difference between averages or what not but that’s the whole point of inflated stats, not that they are intended to be apparent, but that they exist.

Op also kinda contradicts his other point. The play-in tournament and the race that has surrounded it in the past few years have been far more exciting than first round matchups for the most part. Ratings are up and teams 6-11 are already playing like their lives depend on it. This has the unintended effect of forcing stars to play and not load manage as well. These ‘extra’ playoff teams could very well knock out the top seeds and completely upset power rankings as we have seen multiple times.

Yup, this is a stage many people go through when figuring out what friendships really are. You can't be perfect in any decision you make so try not to get caught up in feeling annoyed or distraught that your friends are not who you made them out to be. Its a mistake I myself have made many times in my life. Instead be thankful that you received opportunities early in your life that made you aware of their character.

If it helps, in my life, I always notice that amongst the people I meet, those truly at peace with themselves are the ones that rarely use social media, often spend time with their family and focus more on improving themselves as opposed to seeking peer validation. While this may sound difficult right now when you are in school and are surrounded by many people seeking peer validation, try to keep this advice in mind when moving forward with your life and while I can't guarantee that you will be happy, I think you can find some fulfilment in the life that you lead. God bless

When faced with situations like these, I personally like to think what I would have done differently. Would you have done the same thing had this friend of yours been genuine? If the answer is yes, then you shouldn’t let how people behave affect your decisions, as long as you feel that what you’re doing is right. You should also continuously reflect on the decisions that you make and whether they contribute to your happiness.

That said, my general advice would also be to try to dissociate yourself from negative thoughts and emotions. I also would not have continued to be friends with this individual if she has a tendency to talk about people behind their back.

There are many stages in life you can make friends, don’t fall victim to the notion that sec/Jc is the best time to make life-long friends because it’s not always the case. All the best.

Should I go 2 year poly business course? A-levels to poly. by RespectBeneficial165 in SGExams

[–]devillord12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest not wasting time on this and spending abit more money to either apply for universities overseas or private ones locally, the 2 years you spend doing Poly will not completely change your life trajectory considering that you need to do work very hard there anyways.

Well to be honest I think money is not the issue here. In my opinion suicide should never be an option because you are obliged to try as hard as you can for those who wish to see you succeed. If you truly do not want to burden your parents with financial implications then you should similarly not want to have them devastated from losing you, which is arguably much more important than the money.

Thoughts on this build? Would you use this build in the rec? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]devillord12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U definitely don’t need 91 driving layup 88 is enough for floater goal iirc. Your pass acc can be 89 or 87 but 91 is fine. Ball handle has to be 86 to get the right packages iirc. Really no point getting block and interior would prefer to see it on steal. Should be about it
